By that what I mean is it seems to reason somebody is going to drop in our lap from the top 10 that should have been taken?

Therefore the longer we stay at #10 the more valuable the pick gets?

We have so many needs at Safety, LBer, DL and CB that some stud is going to be right there for the taking.

And of course if some QB starts dropping and other teams want to trade up..we stand good at 10 to be their trade partner.

Does this make any sense in this draft?

But who is the stud you want and need badly?

Patrick Surtain nor Nick Farley are sub 4.45 speedy corners. Thus they are short in long speed.

Farley did not play last year and has had two injuries in college.

CB Joe Horn is only the thir rated CB.

There is no proven multi-year DLineman who exhibited dominance all the years of starting. Teams will draft here one year wonders like Rousseau or J Phillips of the Univ of Miami. They say Christian Barmore is just now developing. Daviyon Nixon is not rated for the top 15.

Micah parsons from Penn State is the only sure thing top 10 defender, but the Cowboys are in dire need at CB and at DT.

What is the physical condition of Lael Collins and Tyron Smith, a real serious detailed medical disclosure is needed. If one is not good, I do not want to put out on the field a diminished player, like T Craw was in 2020 after double hip surgery. I would then take a blue chip OT to take one of the spots. If Collins and Smith both make full recoveries, which is deemed to be doubtful now, I would give the LG position to this #1 tackle and make Connor Williams a backup LT and LG.

What concerns me is that T Smith missed afew games in the past few seasons to to lower back pain, not neck pain. He had neck surgery, like LVE but what about T Smith's lower back?

All you guys can speculate all you want about draft picks, but without accurate and detailed info on what the medical condition and forecast is on them,T Smith and Lael, but we may be forced to the realism that we cannot draft a CB or DT in round one, but rather a blue chip OT one who can start his first year. This will crush all hopes of rejuvenating the defense with quality starters in 2021.

Even worse, the Cowboys may suppress the medical forecasts of Smith and Collins and allow us to waste our time fantasizing over CB's and DT's, when the insiders would know an OT is the most important choice.

Cowboys' management has failed to provide any details about T Smith and Lael's recoveries and post-operative football-playing condition. Has anyone seen them around town?

I am very concerned.

L. Collins had a prosthetic hip put in back in December so I'm not worried. Tyron is due for a neckotomy this April; we'll see how that goes.

1. Where are you getting information? All reports were that Collins had an Oct 2020 hip surgery, the type was never disclosed. No information has ever been released to indicate whether he had arthroscopic hip labral surgery or replacement surgery with an artificial joint. The latter is a surgery not known for returning to the NFL.

2. No indication was made for Tyron's operation, a minor neck discektomy or a full laminectomy and fusion of two verterbrae. He already had an operation and the Cowboys refuse to disclose any details.

Ovrall, what you have written is pure misinformation.

Don’t be surprised if we draft an OLmen with the first pick.

You can also add an OL to the list. Yes, pick up an extra pick but do not drop back too far. Perhaps even pickup a draft pick for the following year. Boys have plenty of picks this year.

If one of the top QBs fall to 10. I'm picking him myself.

Who is this Nick Farley? Wasn't he a DT that played for the Lions and I agree he can't run faster than 4.45

Yeah..

And those comp picks.

Things personel-wise should jump for us.

1. That’s malarkey. Collins had a prosthetic hip put in by one of most renowned doctors in DFW before Christmas.

2. Tyron’s planned neckotomy may only leave him decapitated. We’ll see what his prognosis is after that.

I agree about the OL.

It is a priority given the history of injuries.

It's affecting passing and running plus without balance in the attack..

Moore is liable to let Dak throw 50 passes a game and that usually ends up with turnovers and too many 3 and outs. Thus creating more pressure on the defense to hold the other team.

It also creates issues for special teams as they have to take a conservative approach to field position.

One thing about this last year is our backup OL did improve as the year went on. So they should be able to take that into 2021 and improve the overall play.

Getting snaps is the only way to improve. So we shall see.

I have to start looking at these other positions of need and weighing it all out.

I am not a big college base of info by position. I just watch the games and enjoy the game.

Now that there are no crowds attending..no cheerleaders to oogle. So I get bored.

I think they both return to full health and top quality play in 2022. And if they do, I think a top 10 pick on OT is a wasted pick.
If your fears are accurate, then OT would absolutely be in play at 10. It may still end up being the pick if the top defensive board gets wiped out and you can't trade back.

But if medical for one of them is an issue, why on earth would the front office put that info out there? They wouldn't. Instead they would throw a super tight lid on it until the draft as to not handicap themselves while trying to get a top replacement.

Doesn't the QB crop sweeten our pick at 10?

No, it actually could make it worse.

Teams that need quarterbacks, like Jacksonville, could pick up a Rodgers or Watson or even a Stafford, and instead start grabbing top rated cornerbacks, etc. that Dallas covets....

I hear they're going to try a new type of microfracture surgery that will help him grow a new head.
