The Cowboys running back room ranked 32nd among all NFL teams, per PFF

If Schottenheimer is anything like his Daddy, he WILL have a strong running game and balance on offense. And maybe better luck in the playoffs.

The elder Schotty wrote the book on playoffs heartbreak. Always on the brink. Never a champ.
Sort of like Dak.

Come on…We’ve improved at least to 30th!

Seriously I really hope this FO is not done bringing someone else in. IMO, this is not a great RB room at present. Two cheap FA vets with questionable futures and two Day 3 draft picks…not exactly “can’t miss”.
Yeah, but it's PFF. They often have silly rationale, flat out bias, or ineptitude when it comes to these scores and rankings.

Ezekiel at his age being one of your top two is bad, and very easy to improve on. Seriously the return of Ezekiel was one of the worst star returns I have ever seen in my years watching sports. It was a bit sad honestly. I wish him well. Months in Cabo maybe? Use that money, you earned it. Give some to the Salvation Army, lol.

I can't think of another case of a return like that. Maybe Tony Casillas when he came back?

When Pete Rose went back to the Reds? At least he became player manager.
I say this but people brush it off. Zeke partied hard, starting at Ohio. And never stopped.

Regardless of his postseason record, Marty knew the game. Everywhere he went his teams were successful. I think Brian will take the next step, if not this year, in the coming ones.

Keep the two rookie picks plus an undrafted rookie and one veteran. Just roll with that, the team doesn’t want to run the ball anyways. They should be able to make it through the season and maybe find a young star. Go with the Den theory just draft a RB in the 3rd round every other year and you should be ok.

Man, I like our first round pick but wish we could have gotten Omario Hampton and still helped our oline by trading back. Or, at least picked a better RB in the draft considering it was a strength of the draft. Oh well.
Getting hampton would have meant using 1st pick on him, and not getting booker.
Shotty wanted a good OL over a good RB. I think they did the smart thing.

This PFF report is meaningless lol, it is totally based on last year, so it just says
what they were last year is what they will be this year !

No one knows what dallas run game will be like, bad, good, great etc.
you just have to wait and see when the real games start.
Same with everything else, wait and see, till then it is all opinion and speculation!
