They have a link with pictures of dogs that were taken from Vick. This one looks especially happy to be free. Yes, it's his/her tail. :p:

That scumbag should be made an example of.

If goodell had a backbone he would Ban him for life.

All we ever heard about the guy was what a good athlete he is, great, now go play another pro sport to make a living.

Thank you for this link.

By far, this was my favorite picture. That dog looks well loved.

I saw a special on the dogs on ESPN a couple weeks ago. It was nice to see that quite a few were able, or would be able, to be put into homes and given a good life. They had one or two that they were never going to be able to let out of this animal facility that they moved a large portion of them too because they were so aggressive and angry and they simply weren't getting better.

The prosecutor made an example of him by asking for the top of the federal sentencing guidelines. The judge made an example out of him by sentencing Vick to way more time than even the prosecutor asked for, and above the sentencing guidelines.

Rather than making an example of him because he's famous, shouldn't we ask for equal treatment under the law for everybody? Vick has been punished way more than any other dog fighter ever has.

I'd like to say I feel sorry for him, that they are punishing him harder because of his fame to send a message, but I don't. The dude brought it on himself by being a complete idiot. I can't feel sorry for him with that in mind.

Thank you...:clap2:

Vick spent more time in prison than people have for killing INNOCENT humans or raping INNOCENT kids...and people still want to punish him more, pathetic.

Just because other judges let creeps off easy no reason to let vick off easy.
And he did get off easy. VA refused to prosecute when they could have. He used that BS drug thing to cut the sentence down.
Bone, do you know how long he was doing this?
YEARS.
Do you know how many little dogs, pets, loose dogs caught etc that were thrown into the pit to TRAIN the fighting dogs and were TORN APART?
HUNDREDS.
And you think he got a tough sentence?
Well I think he got off real light and you are making excuses for him and his obscene behavior.

Good too see they're in good homes. That savage would have eventually killed all of them.

I couldn't agree more. As a terrier (especially bully terrier breeds) lover, I'm always happy to see some positive sides shown of these dogs since by far what we hear is negative.

This is how prison works, MOST people get out well before their scheduled release date. He got a sentence in accordance with the law, if you want tougher laws for animal cruelty, lobby for that, don't lobby that one man should pay more than another man for the same crime, under the law.

I don't know if this was a Federal case, but in those cases you must do at least 85% of your time.

Honestly when I see dogs of that manner I get nervous when they are around my kids. I dunno whether to be rude and tell my kids not to pet it because in the back of my mind I know what dogs can do to kids. It's just sad what some aholes turn these dogs into.

Spare me.

Celebrities have gotten off easy for so long its not even funny.

If famous people were treated like the rest of us, there wouldn't be a need to make an example out of any one of them.

The only example made was that high profile people weren't going to get preferential treatment because of their fame. I applaud everyone involved in putting Vick behind bars. He was a criminal and got what he deserved.

That said, I think he has paid his dues. He lost a lot more than some time. He lost A TON.
