Those should have ended when we traded for Winters during the draft. Dallas was never going to pay what it would have taken to have gotten Brooks, and Miami had little incentive to trade its All-Pro unless a team was willing to bet the farm on him. I guess some were hoping we could get him for less because the Dolphins seemed to be having a fire sale, but that doesn't mean they were just trying to get rid of their best players for best offer.

Cant spend 20 million dollars at every position. I feel like LB is a position that can get impact with less $$. Plug in young players easier than other spots if the DL is good.

Not a bad deal for either side.

Dolphins got cap to burn starting next year. Was a great player for them last year and allows J-Rod to not have to be the #1 LB off the bat.
