No way we win 41 - 14 if our defense is as gassed as this idiot is implying.

Eagles under Chip had very good offenses.
Eagles under Chip had very good offenses.

In theory they did. Statistically they did. In fact they really didn't. Their time of Pos. was DISMAL and it put so much pressure on their D' it was laughable. Terrible scheme by the Chipster. He'll be back in college very soon. (maybe after this season, most likely after next season)

haha yep, not sure if it was on the TV broadcast but they showed Cedric Thornton (i think) blowing chunks on the big screen in ATT Stadium on one of their drives

but who cares, if anything it exposed some guys whose conditioning needed some more work

Funny. I was wondering who it was. Makes sense, since Cedric was one who also said OTAs in Dallas were also a lot harder than they were in PHI. You'd think he'd have come in used to it given all the smoothies and Chip's preparation.

Any defense that has Wilcox on the field can be diced up. Pair Wilcox with Jones and you might as well not even have a secondary.

It was playaction that the whole defense bit on. He ended up being isolated on a starting WR. That is not all on him. What other play are you taking issue with? How about the first TD where Church's break once again had him nowhere near the play.

Landry is right. I couldn't believe how fast Miami came away with no points after driving to a first-and-goal at the five yard line. Four plays, no yards, boom, just like that. No wonder our defenders were upchucking.

Fletcher Cox couldn't make it through a half against us either last year.

No joke. He really told this to a reporter. Miami's new fast-paced offense was working so well when Tannehill was in the game, he saw Dallas defenders throwing up on the field.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/08/24/new-miami-offense-making-opponents-sick-literally/

"The Dolphins have a new offense, and they have a new tempo to the offense. That new tempo is causing opponents to lose their ability to lose old foodstuffs.

Receiver Jarvis Landry told the story on Tuesday as it relates to the Week Two preseason game against the Cowboys, via Chris Perkins of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

“I think you look at that game there were a couple of guys on their team throwing up while we were driving, so it’ll be interesting to see for four quarters if those d-lines can hold up against our tempo and the way we want to move the ball down the field,” Landry said."

Recall the last team to boast about how fast they were playing the game on offense was...the Eagles under Chip Kelly. Broadcasters even started putting up clocks on the TV screen to time the next snap of the ball.

How'd that work out? The Eagles imploded and Kelly is now coaching in San Francisco. But it appears Miami under Adam Gase is now convinced it's onto something neat.

It's the preseason where guys haven't done much at game speed. No surprise that some would be throwing up on the field and gasping for air. The new rules make it almost impossible to get ready to play a full game, which is why it takes teams a while to truly find their legs.

Progressivly worse each year

That has more to do with the players he canned. I mean they won he division with freaking Nick Foles when they had McCoy Maclin and Jackson. Their offensive line was the best in football during that year too

Wait...what?

"lose their ability to lose old foodstuffs"? Wouldn't that mean that opponents are getting better at keeping old foodstuffs? lol...

What did Miami's defense do when our offense switched to kick but mode

Well, when Tannehill was in the game, the Miami offense was able to move down the field and put points on the board. It was a close game when Tannehill was still in. The game really got out of hand on the Moore scramble. Once he got hit in the head and had to be removed from the game with a concussion, the Dolphins O went in the crapper. That 3rd string QB looked like classic "deer in the headlights." Our D used and abused the Miami offense for the remainder of the game......meanwhile, the Wonderful World of Dak was in full effect, ripping the Miami D to shreds.

So, while the 1st string Miami O might have done some nice things, their D got used, prison style, by our 4th Round rookie QB. I like how he failed to mention that.

I don't think he was really bashing Dallas, as much as he was trying to give an optimistic view of the new offense his team will be running.

When did points become empty statistics?
When they happen in garbage time.

Not to mention a good chunk of those points came from defense and special teams. Chip offenses were notorious for being bad in the red zone and short yardage.

Gimmick offense.
