I like him more.BAT;2753643 said:Interesting. How would you compare Beck to McGee?
I will say this, I think Beck could beat out Leinart in Zona.

John Beck-QB- Dolphins Apr. 27 - 7:28 pm et
Dolphins waived QB John Beck.
Beck, on the trade block since Bill Parcells took over as Fins VP of football operations, was the 40th overall pick in 2007. A Randy Mueller/Cam Cameron era holdover, Beck appeared in five games as a rookie. He literally looked scared in the pocket and produced two touchdowns to eight turnovers, including five lost fumbles. Some team will probably claim Beck off waivers, but he was already old coming out of BYU and his NFL future is bleak at best.

We had a trade on the table with the Dolphins last year before the Deadline. They wanted Anthony Henry and because Newman got hurt and Pacman got stupid we passed on the trade.BAT;2753663 said:I hate to tell you this Hos, but that's not exactly a ringing endorsement. Leinert has very little passion for the pro game these days, and it shows on the field.
But the fact that you like Beck's potential over McGee's is intriguing. I thought McGee would be a good developmental option, but not with the first pick in the 4th. I would be surprised if McGee is ready to contribute in 3 years. He is that far behind the curve.
I know you like Beck, but have the Cowboys seriously shown interest in him in the past? And why would they back off if the Dolphins were on the verge of giving him up? The questions are rhetorical, unless you actually have those answers of course.

He is a perfect fit behind Romo. Very similar player.
I'm not crazy about McGee, but I am so happy we drafted a QB. I can't even tell you.
Wow, so if Pacman hadn't been suspended, we'd likely have Beck instead of Kitna.Hostile;2753670 said:We had a trade on the table with the Dolphins last year before the Deadline. They wanted Anthony Henry and because Newman got hurt and Pacman got stupid we passed on the trade.
Actually we'd have had Beck instead of Bollinger.Chocolate Lab;2753741 said:Wow, so if Pacman hadn't been suspended, we'd likely have Beck instead of Kitna.
Thank Gawd Pacman is an idiot.

I think we probably would, but we'd be excited about it. The kid can play.Chocolate Lab;2753803 said:Except surely we'd still have Beck this year, right?
So we'd have had to get a capable vet QB some other way.

Really ? I just think Leinart sucks and his 'tude doesn't help either.BAT;2753663 said:I hate to tell you this Hos, but that's not exactly a ringing endorsement. Leinert has very little passion for the pro game these days, and it shows on the field.
