i know Phillips isn’t what we like at the 1 tech, but he’s got talent. He’d definitely shore up the Dline as far as rush defense. He was a 2nd round pick (I think) and he’s a BIG boy at around 350. I wish Marinelli would break rank with his normal thinking on DTs and give this guy a look.

If it was something like differences between him and the coaching staff, then I could see it. If he wanted to be there but the Dolphins let him go anyway, then I'd be very skeptical of him. A veteran getting cut midseason for performance is using reserved for Nolan Carroll levels of suckage.

If it was something like differences between him and the coaching staff, then I could see it. A veteran getting cut midseason for performance is using reserved for like Nolan Carroll levels of suckage.

I caught just a bit on NFL radio today that it was an issue with the coaches or a coach. I don’t know if they just didn’t mesh or if he thought they were using him wrong. As I said earlier, it doesn’t cost us anything to check him out.

Lack of playing time is my guess.

Taylor, Spence and Godchaux have taken over most of the snaps. They acquired Spence from Detroit, where their dline coach was from.

They waited a while for him to blossom but has yet to happen. He wanted out and they obliged

Listen, I know you didn't ask for my opinion but I feel like I should just give you this piece of advice, for what it's worth. The longer you continue to harbor these false hopes, the more disappointed, more depressed you are going to become. My advice? Just let it go, you'll feel better once you do.

I for one, am happy with what Antwaun Woods has done at the 1 tech, but he has been getting banged up the last couple weeks so we should at least take a look IMO.
