Spagnola’s take prior to signing McDonald:
“Well If was that great why is he out on the street?”

Spagnola’s take after we sign McDonald:
“Give the Cowboys credit; they didn’t spend big bucks in free agency and simply waited for a quality safety to become available!”

Yeah, Mickey is a fan boy and a clown. No credibility left.

No harm in giving McDonald a look. Wilson is showing promise. But he is still a rookie 6th round pick. I'm not prepared to hand him the job yet.

But I doubt they bring him in.

Woods, Heath, and Wilson are the only current safeties worth keeping. That means adding one more is a good idea. McDonald may be worth looking at but I think I’d wait to see everyone that becomes available. Then there’s always Berry that could take that 4th spot.

Better than anything we have at safety IMO. Could be ideal strong safety for us.

Similar stats to Heath less year in 2 less games (also 2 more INTs than Heath).

Not a world beater but he wouldn't be available if he was. If he clears waivers, bring him and let him compete with Heath for the gig.

At the very least, he's better than Kavon Frazier and George Iloka.

The Dolphins took a stick of dynamite to their logjam at safety Sunday night, cutting veteran T.J. McDonald — who was set to be one of the highest-paid players on the team. The subtext of the roster move: more snaps for Reshad Jones, who now will presumably be the team’s primary strong safety. Before cutting McDonald, it was assumed he and Jones would share playing time.

The move is puzzling in one way: it doesn’t really provide much of any 2019 financial relief. McDonald will still collect nearly $4 million in base salary from the Dolphins; that sum became guaranteed more than a year ago.

Like illoka, whenever you see a guy bouncing around in the secondary it’s over

Another tannbum signing in Miami. They have Reshad Jones then he signs TJ Tina long term deal. Both are SS only.

The few times TJM was placed as a SS he looked decent there.

McDonald brings an attitude with him that fits the DAL Secondary. Stephen should be on the phone with Dunn right now.

He doesn't play special teams. The backups usually do.

I'll take Woods over him.
