Dominance, even when the RBs and WRs were average

This was a convincing win.

But the Cowboys can't expect to win consistently with such mediocre stats by WRs and RBs.
Dak did spread his throws among EIGHT receivers. (I love this!)

The other thing, is how did we dominate even with some engine pistons not 100%? What is your take, handsome CZers?

I think Zeke looked very good. Dowdle not so much at first. Had some decent runs later on. Just a few though.

It was game one with no reps for the starters in preseason. They did well over all.

Cleveland played poorly. That being said, at least the Cowboys didn’t play down to their level of competition, which has been an issue in the past.

Terrible first drive on O, but I think our second drive made them change their entire defensive scheme.

They had 2 non-starter OTs and Watson lost his will to compete sometime at the end of the first half.

They were missing their best player Chubb. So we had no run game to worry about.

Dak played absolutely abhorrently, but that’s not aberrant of him. RB’s and run game looked horrible and putrid, as expected. There was no Cook, but I can’t imagine he’d add much. Was nice to see Zeke back though, as lackluster as he is. WR’s looked good, albeit a bit rusty. TE’s are alright, hope Ferg is okay. O-line needs some work.

Defense was a plus but again, who did they really have to defend?

Special Teams was good too.

Team committed to the run despite not having that great of a run game. Not gonna cut is against the better teams. Philly is gonna tear this team a new one unfortunately.
