Yep they are lucky they have a great coach and great QB and a weak division. They haven't drafted that well recently. Having the best coach and QB go a long way.

Here or there? What Belichick could have done w/Romo...makes me too depressed to think about tbh:(

This should be a caution for drafting injured college guys in the first RD especially guys with bum knees.

So pass on him, but it was a good idea to sign Johnny Manziel? Is that what the consensus will more or less be?

Dominique Easley has a proven track record of effective play at the NFL level.

Nobody in the NFL draft does.

Cost analysis says that Easley would be the smarter choice for boom-vs-bust potential.

So the Patriots are releasing Easley for a dog bite lawsuit? They must be pretty sensitive after Aaron Hernandez murder trial and Brady's Deflategate. I would bring this kid in for sure, at least he didn't get a domestic abuse charge.

The article you linked said he was released because he doesn't do his rehab. Probably why he gets injured every single year.

It makes sense. If he could pass a physical they would have attempted to get something for him.

I liked him when he came out of Florida. With the draft so close and stocked with DT talent, I suspect Easley will be available to have his tires kicked after the draft.

Only $15K in damages for an accidental dog bite? Jerry has that between the seat cushions on his bus.

And the reason cited was "philosophical differences on following injury protocol" or whatever - so Easley wanted to train/rehab somewhere and the Patriots wanted him to do something else?

Whatever, I'll take a shot on him.
