IMO that is now a myth. This isn't the 90's Cowboys that built the run in the 1st half with Emmitt Smith. Our offense requires that the Olinemen hold up for extended blocking. Guys with quick feet and who can move is now the norm. Not to say that we are looking for smallish linemen.

But even with saying that, Charles Brown is pretty weak.

I'm not defending the Brown pick at all. I was never big on him while he was at USC.

I don't feel Saffold can play left tackle at all though. IMO he's a guard or RT similar to our 3rd round pick last year, Robert Brewster.

Saffold is continually putting those thoughts to rest. He's plenty big and strong enough to stay at OT, and is quite the athlete to remain at LT.

I agree. Quick feet and good punch facing pass rushers I would have no issue with taking him.

i still think we prefer RTs, for example, the size of Brewster. In the draft, we prefer Guards the size of Iupati and Newsome (I think). Even the OG on our PS (his name is escaping me right now) is big.

That's true, but guys around the 315lb mark are plenty big enough.

i think there is a decent shot. we'll need a bit of luck, though. he's probably around a mid 2nd rounder, IMO.
