I thought I have heard Wade say he would never draft a wr in the first, and though Jerry is in charge of the draft I tend to think he would listen to his head coach. For some reason Felix Jones makes me nervous.

I really like Jones but you know, and maybe it's just me, but I just can't see spending a 1st rd pick on a back up RB. Not that he's not talented because I think he is but I don't think I'd spend a 1st rd pick on a back up RB.

I guess in our system, he wouldn't necessarily be a backup but part of a "committee".

I'm still high on Felix, but less so w/ all the CJ talk the last couple of days.

Well, you could say that but even still, I would not be in favor of spending a 1st Rd pick on a back who was not a feature back, per say. This is why I'm not in favor of trading up for McFadden. McFadden would simply be a part of a two back approach. To me, it's just not worth the price you would have to pay. Now, if we were moving up to get a back that had special skills and was going to be our feature guy, then maybe I could see that. Unless our plan is to move MB, and take a guy who is going to carry the load for us, I am not in favor of taking a back this early. Just to many guys that are good that can be had in the later rounds IMO.

NO. I'll be sick if we address WR before we get a CB. I like Jones, but only if we take a corner at 22. I'm not terribly fond of this crop of WR's, but I wouldn't mind Doucet at 28...only because I think we can get a good RB in the second.
As the draft plays out if we could assume we could get McKelvin, Talib or Reggie Smith at 28, then I wouldn't mind taking a WR at 22 if that WR is DeSean Jackson. I just believe Jackson will turn into a player like a Devin Hester. However, I wouldn't complain at all if we can get McKelvin at 22

I think a better comparison would be Ted Ginn. I'm not crazy about either one, I think their frames are too small to be truly effective in the NFL.
