interesting shot at Spears.DALLAS COWBOYS
Demarcus Ware, DE, Troy, first round, 2005
If the Cowboys do build on their hopeful 9-7 record of last season and rip off a decent string of playoff appearances in the years ahead, we might be harkening back to their 2005 draft, when in the first four rounds they took three defenders -- Ware, LSU's Marcus Spears and Virginia's Chris Canty -- who fit nicely into their new 3-4 formation. Ware and Canty have a chance to be premier playmakers, ranging from sideline to sideline in pursuit of the ballcarrier and creating havoc for opposing passers
Yakuza Rich said:Funny because down the stretch I thought Spears was playing better than Canty.
I really believe if Spears doesn't get injured, he's going to have very good year.

Are you saying Zimmer is the best defensive coordinator in the NFL?CrazyCowboy said:IMO Spears was set back with the training camp injury and took a little longer to catch up to what the best defensive coordinator in the NFL wanted him to do.
Towards the end of the season, Spears was just as productive as anyone. He looked great on the fumble return......
