C'mon, MC, I'm a Mavs fan. I've had to read about that stupid story (Cuban suing Nelson for "insider secrets") for the last year. Over and over and over again. That's why it's funny.

Just because I'm a Mavs fan doesn't mean I have to love Cuban & hate Nellie. I appreciate what Mark Cuban brought to the organization (despite his detractors, many of whom are well-founded I might add), but Don Nelson built this team.

No problem. I find the lawsuit embarassing as a Mavs fan. Jerry Jones didn't sue the Giants after the playoff loss because they had played us twice already this year.

As for Cuban's insult, refresh my memory - what did he say? It was about the River Walk, right? I couldn't find the exact quote.

The River Walk does get a bad rap because of the color of the water, but if you dip your glass into it you see that the water is actually crystal clear. The brownish color comes from the riverbed below.

That reminds me of another exchange involving Don Nelson while he was still coach of the Mavs. Shaq obviously hated playing the Mavs because of the Hack-A-Shaq strategy (which to my knowledge never actually resulted in a win for us, but that's beside the point).

Anyway, Shaq made a comment after one game that he "still has more rings than Don Nelson".

The reporters gave the quote to Nelson who then said, "I have five rings as a player (Shaq still had three at the time) so he technically has two less than me. But we're tied as coaches."
