I see everyone singing his praises and he had a great combine so this is my question: Do you think with his weight (too small for interior DL ) and explosiveness that he would be a better fit at DE? I saw a news clip on the zone say that the other day and I wasn't sure if it was a blip or legitimate idea. To be honest, I would be all over this idea. I think he is a horrible idea at DT but I absolutely love the idea of his size and speed at the edge. How about you guys and gals?

I envision him being able to move around on the line. don't be surprised to see him drop back in coverage...

He did rush from the edge a little here and there and looked decent but he's at his best inside. It could be a possibility if we change coordinators after the season and us a different type of 4-3. People say they don't like the 4-3 but Mike Zimmer has been running is just fine with the right players.

Arms are too short and he is only 6'1. Don't think he has a lot of bend either. I like him as a DT3. So does he.

I think he'd be better against a 6.3 guard than a 6.6 tackle.

His style and build is best at DT. He is not really that small and he was strong enough to bullrush a 343 pound OG onto his backside.

Short arms and bowling ball physique is not the best thing at DE, need body length and wingspan.

Isn't that what they said about Suggs?

Never heard that about him, only his speed thing at 4.8 which isn't that bad all things considered. I think Ealy is a good choice in the first round and he ran a 4.9.

Suggs is 6'3 260. Not the 6'5 270 you're hoping for, but his measurables are much more in line with a classic DE than Donald's.

Donald simply lacks the length to be able to beat OT's (who are generally longer armed and more athletic than OG's and C's).
