Dating back to last season our special teams has been a joke. The Jets game loss blame gets put on Romo, but both QB's turned it over in that game. The difference? Joe D's unit getting, SURPRISE, a punt blocked for a touchdown.

Our return game is pathetic. I'd welcome any stats to show it either way.

Icing the kicker. The time out was lobbied for by Joe D.

Punt formation sometime last season, Joe D's idiocy leads to an illegal formation call. That's unacceptable. You design a play that's not even a legal formation? :bang2:

What was it, we were the only team to have a punt blocked and a field goal blocked for a touchdown in the same season? In NFL history????

Now we get that crap out there today. Punt blocked for a TD. 12 men on the field late in the game.

I said it before the season started that I have no faith in our special teams. Today was just more evidence that the Joe D hire was going from unbelievably horrible coaching in Bruce Read to just plain disgustingly bad. An improvement of the difference between a fresh **** sandwich and a day old **** sandwich.

Make no mistake, Joe DeCrapilis special teams won't win a game for you, but they most certainly WILL LOSE THEM. Don't be surprised when our special teams craps the bed again sometime further down the road and we end up losing a game because of it.

tent incident gave life time employment

I cannot agree more, this guy keeps putting out sub par returners out there and his units have critical mistakes to change the game.He is here only because of his broken neck, nothing more.

He absolutely sucks and ST have cost us some games over the years. He should be fired.

I've always thought this and I freaking hate it. If he isn't getting it done then get rid of him. The ST has been borderline horrible the last 3 years. **** that they have been horrible.

how often are ST coaches are fired mid-season??
I don't know but I would think it has been done before. It's not like it would be unprecedented or something.

Agreed, or at least until the statute of limitations on a possile civil suit are up (5 years in this case I think). It would take a judge 20 minutes to award him damages.

Yep the company already admitted fault and knew it might fail. He's looking at tens of millions.

Coach Joe D has overstayed his "Welcome" IMO. He hasn't done the job he was hired to do... that's the bottom line.

He came in with a lot of fanfare — with me waiving pompoms for him just the same as so many others — after a weak effort by his predecessor. He got seriously injured in the Practice Facility collapse of '09, YES... that was a lousy turn of events and I'm sorry for the injuries DeCamillis suffered in that anomalous event. I truly am.

Still, our STs have been seriously lacking since he's been here, on the whole. Need our STs to be a strength, not a continued question mark, or worse... a weakness. If you can't/haven't hacked it then next STs coach up, the way I see it.

Get it right or GTFlipO, plain and simple.

Joe D has got to go. We have seen no progress with him as our Special Teams coach.

I'm sorry the practice bubble fell on him but it's time for Joe D and the Cowboys to move on from each other.

If we can't fix obvious problems like punt protection, we are in trouble.....

Yep he'll be here for life. As much as I like to rip Garrett, I think the Arizona FG fiasco was on DeCamillis because he was right in Garrett's ear telling him to call timeout. If he can survive that meltdown, he'll be here forever.

And regarding kick returns, his blocking schemes are terrible. The last time we had a good kick return game was when Bruce DeHaven was still here and we had Tyson Thompson/Miles Austin back there

Why should we? It's not like it has cost us games before.

/sarcasm.

Only four games in less than four years.

Coach JoeD hasn't shown me much either. I'm pretty disappointed. Our special teams haven't been special in a long time.
