Looks like he was cut.....I have to think he's better than Ogletree and I tend not to believe the grass is greener.

Is something wrong with him? I thought he was good for them a couple of years ago.

Thought I remembered that we liked him, too.

He tore his ACL last year. Perhaps he is still not 100% or hasn't regained enough confidence.

He's back from an injury.

I know he blew out his knee, but apparently was picking up the pace as TC went on... the Rams are very deep at WR.

He missed last season with a knee injury. Sounds like he was good in camp. A speed guy.

Wow. Avery was released? They are deep in SL with young talent right now....nobody that could crack our top two, but a bunch of solid players that are better than Ogletree. Someone had to go. I guess the injury set Avery back too much.
Interesting...
Hard to say if we should bother. I was thinking he was an outside guy.

Are they?

Not spectacular....but solid, Gibson, Amendola, Sims-Walker, Clayton and two draft picks Salas and Pettis.....that's a deep group.

Deep in something. I'll give you that.

Given how he developed the Packers WR corp, if Jimmy Robinson wants Avery, then I'm all for it, but if not, I'd defer, again, to his expertise on the status/capabilities of our current WRs.

Boy, if Jerry could bring in him, Meriweather, and a cb (maybe McGee or Will Allen for some depth), this offseason could go from abysmal to real good in a hurry.

We need another WR desperately. I can't stress enough about Miles Austin not being 100% healthy. I guarantee you that Miles will tweak that hammy again, and then we will have to rely on O-tree, a rookie, or Holley to fill the #2 WR role. That's not a very comforting thought.

There's not one #1 in that group and i'm not sure if there's even a #2. None of those guys could be our #2 that's for sure.
