One of my favorite OL in the draft. If I had to bet I would say top 40. Back of the first would be no surprise. Only knock is lack of proto type size but I wouldnt be bothered by that. He is a baller like Tyler Smith.

Love this kid.........he's the type of player where one of the bottom 4-5 teams will draft and become an ALL-Pro.
We could probably trade down twice and pick up an extra 2nd and 4th and still draft him around the mid-20th range.

I love Donovan Jackson. I think there's a lot of Tyler Smith to him.

He's big and ludicrously strong, but he's also showed he had the feet to capably play LT. Like Smith, he probably doesn't have the feet you want for an NFL tackle. But if he's quick enough to handle speed rushers on an island, you know he's quick enough to handle bigger 3 techs inside. And playing with bumpers on just forces those DTs into head-on matchups against his nuclear-reactor power. So DTs can't go around him, they can't go through him, and if the OC calls run, he's bulldozing them off the line.

I wouldn't take Jackson at #12, but I will bet everything I have that he'll be a quality NFL starter. I'd take him in that 20-30 zone, like about where Graham Barton went last year. Same deal as Barton, positional value is low for Gs and Cs, but you spend a first on them because they're slam-dunk talents.

Agree with the rest of you--Jackson is a stud and would love to find a way to get him.

big fan.
he'll be a dominant og...but also showed he can handle business at tackle, filling in for josh simmons.
just a all-down,all-day football player.
love this guy.
