I'll keep that in mind for when Dallas wins the division again.

Of all the teams they make me the most worried.

they have our number and they have all the confidence in the world. They still intimidate our teams as opposed to vice versa.

Hopefully the draft will bring us a new wr and another threat at rb.

Huh? So are you saying what McNabb said was nothing wrong, and he's showing leadership skills?

You wait, once the Eagles start struggling they'll start in-fighting and blaming each other.

Does it really matter? Do you honestly think BrokeNab is going to make it through a full 16 games anyway?

Thank You McFlabb for not only giving the Skins and Giants BB material, but US as well. THANK YOU!:laugh1:

With the way we played this past post season, I dont think the Cowboys own a bulletin board yet.

No what I am saying is, they have a history of bouncing right back after a bad season.

They have the coaches, the talent and the qb. Last year they had an in injured qb, a head coach with personal problems and an inured brian dawkins.

I am not saying by any stretch we cant beat them or we cant win the division, what I am saying is I see the eagles as a top tier nfc team again and a playoff team and oh by the way they have our number.

I still think McNabb is a good QB and Westbrook is a very good back, after that though they don't have much to talk about.

Somebody posted the question "what was McNabb supposed to say?" How about McNabb saying nothing at all. You gotta admit we don't hear Romo coming out and saying such stuff nor has Eli Manning nor whoever the Commanders QB is saying anything like that. McNabb has a big mouth & I think he needs to say things like that to get himself noticed & get the attention he seems to crave so much. His comment even more ridiculous when you recall the Giants won the SB--something his Eagles can't seem to do. Also remember last year when the Cowboys were playing well and leading the NFC East division so McNabb just has to say that the NFC East title goes thru Philadelphia which essentially translates to mean we gotta play them to be the NFC East champs & until we come to Philly to beat them we aren't the champs. This coming when his team's record wasn't too good. Again you didn't hear Romo say anything so foolish/dumb, nor did the Giants Eli, etc.? And then McNabb has the nerve to complain cause he gets so much bad press.

A history of doing it once (2005) isn't really much of a history.

They're definitely a worthy opponent and capable of winning the division, but since the NFC East has gotten better coaches, the Eagles are no longer the bad boys of the division. Going 24-24 over the last 3 seasons sort of indicates that better coaches in Washington (going from Spurrier to Gibbs), Dallas (Campo to Parcells/Wade) and NYG (Fassel to Coughlin) along with aging talent on the Philly roster shows a bigger trend to me than their ability to "bounce back."

So what is he supposed to say? "I don't think we are as talented as the other teams in the division and we have missed our opportunity to win it all".

Let me clue everyone in so that the next time some player or coach says that their team is the best, that is exactly what they are supposed to say.

If a player or coach came out and said that he didn't think his team was very good he would be vilified and probably cut, traded, or fired.

There, now no one has to be shocked, surprised, or upset when someone says it.

Glad I was here to help.

It's called "Having RESPECT for your opponents". If he said-"I'm very confident about my team this year b/c I feel we'll do great things", then that would be fine. But read what he said again-he all but disrespected his 3 NFCE opponents.

i'll paraphrase myself
"while we were pretty bad last year, it's really just how things are. i'm never going to be happy here and if not for westbrook, i'd have chased away all other talent on this team. we used to be winners, but it's not happening agian. excuse me now, i'm worn out and must go hurl".

That's pretty much what I heard. :laugh2:

Remember the 1990 Eagles with Cunningham.
Remember the 2004 Eagles with McNabb.

Both teams had spent most of the previous 4 years kicking our ***.
Both teams had defenses we couldnt deal with and mobile QB that seemed to play thier best against us.

This aint 1990 or 2004, its 2008 and this rivalry looks like it did in 1994.

YAKUZA

they are 3-1 against us the last two years. We won the division this year, they won it last year. Mcnabb has been kicking our butt for the better part of 8 years.

I am not saying they are better, I am saying they are just as good. If mcnabb is healthy from day one going into the season they are a very talented team.

and again They have our number.

based on what?

We are 1-3 against them in the last 4 tries and in 7 years we have beat them two times in Dallas.

They are as much a hurdle as winning in the playoffs and winning in december.

Who cares what he says? The best way to shut him up is to beat the Eagles badly both times that we play them in 2008. If he doesn't show respect then, it is his problem.
