It's become too much work for the Billionaire Boys. Changing out coaching staffs, evaluating draft talent, trimming the fat off the roster , stockpiling draft picks by working the phonelines and negotiating common sense contracts is EXHAUSTING for 2 silverspooners who have everything they've ever dreamed of at their fingertips. Who would we sign as coach if McCarthy wouldn't be resigned? I think this team has gone as far as it will go with him and his coaching and scheme, but I just wonder who else we could bring in, now that Belicheck is gone. Maybe Vrabel with an innovative OC and new Oline coach?

Only 5 Cowboys have started all 14 games and it looks like Hooker's injury might make it 4.

We won't find a better HC willing to work with Jerry. They've seen what goes on around here.

No promising coach in the NFL is going to put his career in the hands of Jerry Jones, especially after Jerry selects his assistant coaches, contradicts him to the media, decides who starts based on salary, and assumes the credit in the event the new HC is successful.

McCarthy's contract expires after the season, and we assume that he wants to extend his stay in Dallas. That may not be a valid assumption.

I was saying that for a while myself, but then I went back and looked at all the games in the beginning of the year, and I looked at that Green Bay game from last year. He really should’ve been fired as that game the biggest game of our recent history, maybe the biggest game of his Brett Favre post career
