...without acknowledging the Charger win. They're giving it to a pretty good Giant team tonight. I said it at the time- we beat a playoff team in Week 1.

I'm no Zimmer apologist- I just think games are won and lost largely by the players on the field. If he's as bad as some of you say, then we overcame his influence (and Parcells' ill-conceived fake punt) to win two close road games. Nobody would dispute that our only loss was the direct result of two plays that our players (Glenn/Roy) didn't make.

There is nothing wrong with JJ; all three opponents (two with great run defenses) have been crowding the box for the flexibility it offers to blitz Bledsoe, chip/shadow Witten and seal JJ's cutback lanes. Bledsoe's made them pay with enough big pass plays that I expect things to open up in the coming weeks.

Pairity is alive and well in the NFL. There is nobody we can't beat and nobody we can't lose to. It will all come down to team health and our division record from here out, IMO.

I agree... a win is a win, and we're 2-1. Look at it this way: the Eagles looked vulnerable today, and the Giants are getting pounded... it was a very good day.

I have to say. We escaped SD w/ a fantastic win.

If they were playing LT and Gates like tonight....we would have lost most likely.

More importantly, it is a road win after a crushing Monday night loss. Nice rebound.

This is a crazy league. No team is an easy win. On paper, today's game *should* have been an easy one. But, then, try telling St. Louis that.

I don't think there's any need to justify wins. They're hard to come by in this league. You never know how teams are going to play from one week to the next.

A lot of us, including myself, probably had the Cowboys at 2-1 at this point (losing to the Chargers), and that's what we are. It hasn't been pretty, but as much as a Parcells critic I am, I'm fairly certain the loose screws will be tightened.

Agreed. It used to be easier to to gauge your team by the "quality" of the victory. It's a mirage now. Although I'm pretty sure we gave one away to a bad Commander team, I've seen enough (of us and other teams) to know that we can beat anyone on our schedule.

Very much agree with parity and no easy wins. I really have a hard time understanding why so many believe that we were going to win by 20+. Every team is a professional club. They got players just like we do. We have expectations and so do they. I am happy to win and don't care how it's done. Winning culture needs to be cultivated. No sure if this team truly believes in itself quite yet. It will take a few more wins and alot of guidance.

...makes more good than bad plays at this point in time. Here's to Parcells believing in this team and playing high percentage ball. Let the team win the games on their own talent. Leave the "risky" trick plays out of the gamebook and don't get desperate.

very good point, the CHargers are now finding their stride, they're a good team is why, we weren't a good team last year, so we're still trying to find our stride...

Who knows what to think of this team! One minute they are winning a tough road game against a good San Diego team, the next they are blowing a 14 point lead against a team that has struggled offensively for a while now. Then they are getting blown out by a very marginal San Francisco team and COWBOY UP for a great come back win. Its good to see the offense turn it up when they needed to but you have to wonder what the heck happened last week when they had a ton of chances to finish off a division foe at home. We have a new QB and 2 new Olinemen starting we have expect some inconsistency early in the season.

The defense is just down right scary, and not in a good way. I think we all have to realize that they are playing a totally different scheme, have FAs that need to gel and rooikes that need to get experience playing in the NFL. We have to expect that there are going to be mental breakdowns and lapses at times. The bottomline is the team is improved and hopefully will continue to improve as the season progresses. At the beginning of the year I predicted 8-8 to 9-7 would probably a good season, we have to be realistic.

This win may be a lot like the Steelers win here in week 3(or was it 4) last year. A good team beating a bad team and having to come all the way back to do it

Winning on the road in the NFL is very hard to do, and we have two road wins in two attempts.

Need proof. Look at how the Falcons beat down the Eagles when the Eagles were on the road.

How about the next week the Falcons losing on the road.

Denver losing to Miami on the road.

And the Patriots losing on the road to Carolina.

Just to name a few games.
