We don’t own Green Bay’s pick either we own whichever pick is the worst. If Cowboys suck then that pick belongs to the Jets.

Actually the Cowboys get the lower of whatever pick between them and Green Bay. The Jets receive the higher of Dallas' previous two 1sts in 2027.

So (and this is just an example) if Dallas gets the 12th overall pick and Green Bay the 9th, the Jets get 9 (Green Bay's) to complete the Quinnen trade while Dallas keeps their own 12th. So saying we have Green Bay's one is premature.

I had no problem giving up a one to get a top level DT in Quinnen Williams. The issue is the coaching staff not utilizing him correctly.

I know hindsight is 20/20, but the trade is going horribly for us so far. We now cannot even benefit from tanking or the Packers having a lousy year.

If this season continues to head south I can see a scenario where they tag and trade Pickens and maybe get a 1st back. Or at least something like a 2nd and a 4th.

This, the OP had me 2nd guessing myself. I said I thought the Jets get whichever is the highest number one pick and we get the lowest.
