I think Key was a hell of a player. But I understand what the 'boys are doing. It's better to cut bait too soon rather than too late.

I will really miss KEY! I did like him, and appreciated what he did on the field.

I was really hoping T.O. and Key could co-exist, but I am sure BP and JJ had a better feeling on this.

Now then, this is supposing we get T.O. or something else is happening we dont know.

If we just cut Key because he did not want to pay him, then I will be really pissed at Jerry and Bill.

I hate to see this guy released. He wasn't fast or shifty, but he could make the tough catch and owned the middle of the field. I completely understand why he was dumped, but I'll bet that was a tough move for Wild Bill. Sya what you will, but in all the PCs that Bill did and Key's name came up...you could sense some loyalty there on Parcells part....no doubt on Key's part. Good luck to him.

I doubt he'd want to play for them if he couldn't start. They've already got 4 WR's they are paying starter money, if not #1 WR cash to.

I think it's a better possibility he winds up in Philly or NYG instead. But, my guess is that he plays for NE.

I'm not happy about cutting Keyshawn. He was very dependable player who gave his all for the team, not just making many of those tough catches, but blocking etc. You can be sure if we sign TO he won't make those blocks. And now we down to 2 WRs--Glenn & Crayton. Even if TO comes on board, there's no WR depth should either Glenn or Crayton miss a few games. In 2 years both Glenn & TO will be gone; Cowboys better have a game plan.

Key was good, cutting him was tough, but it just wasn't a fit anymore. No rationalizing here, getting a true #1 WR is more critical than ever now.

I'll give Key his props also. I also think that the Cowboys didn't use him enough. More Witten and more Key in the game plan and I think the Cowboys could've squeeked out another win or two.
