So many of them know less than we do.

Would you like an example? Okay......

I'm sure many of you are familiar with Walter Football, a publication and now web site that bills itself as:

"The most accurate NFL draft site in the world. NFL Football. The draft, picks and fantasy."

Here is their grade and what they had to say about the 2025 offseason for the Seattle Seahawks:

2025 NFL Signings Graded by Team: Seattle Seahawks

Average Grade: D-

Seahawks sign DE DeMarcus Lawrence (3 years, $42 million): D Grade
signed on 3/12/2025

"This would have been an A+ signing three years ago. DeMarcus Lawrence, of course, was a great edge rusher back then. That is not the case anymore. Lawrence is 33, and he played in only four games last season."

"I could maybe see the argument for this signing if the Seahawks were ready to compete for a Super Bowl this year. Perhaps they believe they can based on the Sam Darnold contract, but it doesn’t seem like that is the case. Either way, there’s no reason to give a 33-year-old a 3-year contract worth $14 million per season."

Pre-season predictions are a very risky business and for every "genius" that gets it right, there are 1000 others that get it completely wrong.

Then again, the so-called genius's prediction of why he was going to be right was probably completely wrong. He just got lucky.

My point is, the media is just like us. They don't know what is going to happen. They have their theories too and most of them are going to be wrong just like us.

Whatever criticism we have about the makeup of this team, however sure we are of this season's outcome, one or two of us might be right.....but only because we were lucky.

Another football season is around the corner and what makes it the most exciting is the fact I don't have a clue how it is going to turn out.

I guess if I want to find out, I'll have to watch the games......and in the meantime, the NFL draft.

As pessimistic as I claim, as critical as I get, as disillusioned as I now am........the heart rate is slowly transitioning back into it's "football-readiness" status.

Have to believe that the Jones and CP have a plan if the one guy they are targeting isn't at 12.

The media pundits are all over the place and most seem to believe that we have to have a DE/Edge which doesn't seem to fit CP design for the defense. If Reese or Styles fall to 12, maybe but if Downs fall to 12 then seems like he will be the pick. And if not Downs then won't be the least surprised if it is Thieneman.

But 3 more days of the pundits telling us they more about CP than he knows.

It’s a good way to look at it,

every NFL season is its own thing, with little carryover from the year before or even decades past. Sometimes you need fresh eyes, a new outlook, and a different perspective. It’s not really fair how Brian Schottenheimer’s first year is being judged. Given his responsibilities on that side of the ball, criticism feels misplaced. (que why jerry lmao hes on ignore!!)

The preseason predictions weren’t about wins, especially since the defense ended up being historically bad, but the offense was one of the best in the league. Yet media pundits, along with plenty of others, expected the Cowboys’ run game to be dead last and thought Williams was washed up, which clearly wasn’t the case.

There are still five months until game one, yet we’re already seeing constant overreactions to the offseason, which has far more time ahead than what’s passed since the new league year began. Some are calling it a failed season already, saying the effort isn’t good enough and while that might be true so far, it’s definitely not over.

I’ve noticed a slight shift in philosophy; nothing major, but I think they’ve missed out on some free agents and trade targets, which has only made them hungrier.

After or during the draft, I expect them to break out of the holding pattern much of the NFL has been in over the past three weeks. I believe the next two weeks will see more moves than the previous four, and by August, the outlook will be much better.

Just call them Mediots.
But the crazy thing is though people take that as truth in fact they look at it as the Bible they hear these things enough they start believing it and they come in here and try to convince us how bad this year is going to be with 5 months left to build this team..hmmm

No one is right 100% of the time. And let's be honest, who here thought Lawrence would have a good year like he did?

In fact, who expected the Seahawks to play they way they did all season? They were a surprise to everyone. I am not suggesting Walter Football is good - or bad - at what they do, but the reality is if someone is right 60% of the time, they are doing better than most.

I mean their write up was on point. We all thought that about Seattle.

No one said they’d win the SB let alone that division. They were wrong like the rest of us.

I had Seahawks being the 3rd best in their division. I agree no one is right all the time.

Sports prognosticators are like weathermen, being wrong is the only thing either of them do with any consistency.
Meteorologists are incredibly accurate. Even weather apps can give you a 5-minute window on when it’s gonna start raining.

Might be more accurate to say sports prognosticators are like message board GMs, just paid better lol…

Just one question - what’s a puntid???

Regardless of Seattle, revisiting with hindsight isn't really a worthwhile exercise.

Given the information at the time, it's not like they were wrong.

I stopped watching all of those dumb morning cold pizza shows (and afternoon too) right when Turd Turder was camped out at the Valley Ranch covering all of the TO drama.
