We are staring at 2-5 right now. I doubt even all the Homers over at the homers-only board (cowboysown) expect us to beat NE and Seattle. NY is looking like a loss too.

Every team looks good against us. The Saints are a bad football team and next week in Philly they are going to lose.

Hmm. We'll see. PHI looked awful again yesterday on offense.

I thought the saints looked terrible. We just looked even more terrible. My cousin called me halfway through the game (he is a steelers fan) and he says "man if romo was playing you guys would be blowing them out the water" I agree, we shouldn't have lost that freaking game

Interesting. To me, they looked like a team that is limited with its offensive weapons and whose QB is hobbled, but I thought they dug deep and played well, across the board. The loss and the frustration that our clearly better players weren't on the field last night aside, I thought the game was pretty good considering how hampered the teams were.

These Saints got a couple of good players back for last night's game, too. If they had more WR options, I'd say they looked like an ok team right now.

We will be getting players back, but we are also losing players at the same rate, or more.

Defense gets gassed to quick, something at halftime and the team changes. Hardy and Ro being back will help, but lee may be out.

Lost Dunbar and now Butler on Offense, but can Michael step up, and what happens with WR. I guess Whitehead will play for a week, until Dez returns. Unless Butler can play next week.
Randle needs to be back up and time to see what DMC can do as the starter. Let him get into the flow of the game. We now seen Weeden throw down field, and had some success.
Street needs to be practicing sideline catches after hours.

ST's cost us too on that penalty, allowing a FG instead of a punt, which was a huge difference. One could say, NO would have needed to go for a TD at the end and not a FG.
This team is playing extremely sloppy right now, and the depth is not there due to injuries, like the depth we thought we had.

Last nights loss was disappointing, but it is also something to build on. I won't panic either. Just get through next week without any injuries, play well, do not get freaking tired in 2nd half. Make adjustments over the bye week, get Dez and Gregory back. Then go win some games. Stay afloat for the return of Tony.

So if that is the homers-only board, this is the haters-only board.

Tough for them to say, because they're not here to answer you. But generally speaking, I'll take homers over fans who play dead in week 4 any day. Personally, I wouldn't concede any of those three games, because you never know what can happen, but the first two sure look grim.

A lot depends on what we hear on the injury report today, too. We could lose more players for the season or for several games, and we obviously can't afford that right now.

There's a lot of pent-up frustration from not being able to legitimately bag on the team going back to the second half of last season. It's going to come out now, while everybody's injured. All the Jerry-Garrett-QB hate we've all missed so very much.

There's no avoiding it until Romo and Dez are back, and maybe not then if we don't get a better team on the field during that time. We better get used to it.

Yeah, it's certainly tempting to grab a bottle and head for a dark corner, but we're playing the Pats next Sunday and the team needs our support, so let's buck up and see what needs to be done to come away with a victory. We pulled a huge upset week 6 last year in Seattle, so we just need to move that up a week and knock off the Patriots at home week 5. The good news is we have a bye after the Pats game, so we'll have to time to prepare for the Giants this time around and maybe avoid the let-down we had against them last year after beating the Seahawks.

Atlanta is better than NY and Philly, so we definitely have a shot to beat those guys. We should have all our guys on D back for those games as well, and possibly Dez. We should definitely beat Tampa. NE and Seattle are long shots, but anything is possible. The division games are key IMO (the ones we play, and all the others they play against other teams). Not panicking yet, but these last 2 I thought were going to be the easiest (and TB).

Not sure how we plan to win a game without Romo, it probably doesn't get any easier than last night.

I don't know either, but I think we'll win at least one, although we probably need to win a minimum of two. I feel like there's still at least 3 very winnable games remaining before Romo gets back, NYG, Eagles, Bucs, with the NYG game being the most crucial...
vs Patriots
@ Giants
vs Seahawks
vs Eagles
@ Bucs

And once Romo comes back, assuming he gets back by the Nov. 22 game,
@ Dolphins
vs Panthers
@ Commanders
@ Packers
vs Jets
@ Bills
vs Commanders

If Romo's healthy for that seven game stretch, it's very possible for Dallas to go 6-1, even 7-0 is possible. The key will be if Romo can recover 100% in time for the Dolphins game.
