Now we all know Zeke is half human/ half vibranium and is incredibly durable but to play him in week 17 should be a first degree felony. Rest a few but imo everyone on the D needs to play the whole game and Dak needs to play. Garrett's teams notoriously bungles these precious situations. We need to beat NYG and have some MO going into wildcard weekend, we can ball with any team in this league. The opportunity it's there for the taken.

Start him, let him play at least 1st quarter. Sick of resting starters in week 17, punting the game, and then losing first playoff game. Let's try something different

Anyone who is even remotely banged up shouldn’t play.
True in most sense but I think we have to come into this game trying to win (without Zeke of course) this game should not be treated like it's nothing keep it rolling play to win

Resting starters when you have a long road to the SB is well advised. If you are the number one seed, have a bi-week and two home games, I would play everyone in this situation. But we have the long hard road to the SB and protecting, healing and resting key players is a luxury not often granted in these situations. I say rest guys.

We not putting away the giants in one half let alone one quarter; so what’s the point in playing him one quarter . Either play him to win or don’t play him at all. This ain’t preseason. He don’t need no dress rehearsal. You either play him treularly or don’t play him at all.

Don't agree. Play the starters for a series or two. If they do well, sit them for the rest of the game. If they don't do well, take out the ones who need to be rested (Elliott, Martin and Smith) and continue playing the rest. Earn your way to the sideline for rest.

This offense hasn't proven that it deserves a break. If the team wants to sit a lot of the defenders, I'm fine with that.

If the offense puts together a long drive and scores on its opening possession, then Dak, Zeke, Cooper, Beasley, Smith and Martin can all park it on the bench. If it continues to look herky jerky, then continue trying to iron out the wrinkles.

I’d give him 10-15 reps max, then use Rod the rest of the game...

Because Jerry is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end when it comes to the Cowboys haven't you heard:huh:

Well that's the way he likes it. It's just interesting how so many fans have now been conditioned to it that they even call on Jerry to make certain decisions that should rest with the HC.

Everyone who's not injured should play 1/4 to 1/2. It's a young team still jelling.

Fair enough, Bill plays Brady no matter what clinched or not

If we were a dominant team, I might be more inclined to rest them, or at least some of them. Even then, there would be some concern about losing momentum.

However, when we can't solve our red-zone issues against a poor defense, then we obviously need to keep working on it.

Didn't we win our first round playoff game the last time we rested players on Week 17?

Treat it like any other game injury wise. If a player is judged questionable or worse, sit him. If not, play him.

Different situation as far as the offense is concerned. The offense is not humming this time around. It is sputtering. Badly. Water is seeping into the fuel line, sometimes strongly. That is a genuine concern when the upcoming gauntlet includes up to three of the six best NFC teams and possibly the best AFC team.
