I don't think Parcells needs give answer immediately but I'm also pretty sure Jerry Jones already has an inking. I'd give Parcells 2 weeks to think about it and receover from what not doubt is still difficult readjustment to brother's death a little over 1 month ago. Parcells just needs to recharge his batteries; if Jerry thinks it anything more then that he would make a move. Besides there is nobody among those just fired who would interested me as HC material. If I'm Jerry I would ask Parcells if he interested in any of those guys or their staff as DC, OL coach or OC. Might be interested in Capers as DC given his familiarity with 3-4 but his stints with Carolina & Texans as HC don't make me want him as HC any time soon. No interest in Tice, Sherman, etc., as anything but assistant or coordinators on Cowboys. Also don't believe there any way Jimmy Jonson or Charlie Weis come back to NFL.

If I were JJ, and BP hadn't told me definitely yes or no after 2 weeks, I'd be concerned.

Frankly said, there really is no more off season in the NFL - except maybe after the last mini-camp to the beginning of training camp.

I hope BP is back, but being a head coach in the NFL is pretty much a 24 hour/day, 12 month/year job. And the pressure is intense. BP isn't getting any younger. It has to take a physical toll.

Personally I don't think there should be questions. Either you are coming back or not. Jerry put the extension out there as a feeler. The fact that BP is would not answer the question if he is returning for his final season, to me, is grounds to be fired.

If my boss asked me if I was going to honor the final year of my contract, I either say yes out loud or I am fired.

Makes you wonder why the question is even being asked, something is up.

You cant compare the average Joe worker to a head football coach who gets paid more in a year than all our salaries put together. There is way more to think about than if he feels like punching the time clock or not.

If I were Jerry Jones, I'd start looking for a replacement. BPs heart is obviously not in coaching if it's even a question of whether or not he's coming back.

So long.

I hope our next coach can coach a team up that can finish a game.

okay, say we give him 2 weeks, for what tho ? he hasn't said he was considering retiring ? Has he ? He denies it in his last PC.

So just what are we waiting for, for him to change his mind ?

Maybe Juke or La Tuna would know better, but, when he speculates on retiring or leaving a position in the past, has he ever returned to it ? I really don't know.

I just find it funny I guess that we are waiting for an answer, to a question that he denies even talking about.

That makes no sense. Why would you not honor your final year, unless you said something to give them reason to question you. Parcells has said nothing. Parells friends have said nothing to indicate hes not coming back. Only these little media freaks with no other story are talking about Parcells retiring.

Them and of course you guys. He'll be back. Relax. Hes got a job to doand team to finish building.

Okay what if they asked Bledsoe if he is gonna honor the last year on his contract and he would not answer?

How would you like it if the press camped out your door and asked you if your going to work today, everyday? He knows hes under contract. He knows what needs to be done. He knows if hes gunna be able to do that. He knows and Jerry knows that he will be back next year.

I am wondering why you feel this way. There has been no oficial word he isn't coming back or considering retirement. Just because Mort comes on ESPN and opens his month doesn't mean it is etched in stone.

I believe that Jerry already has an answer. One way or another.

Kinda sucks that neither will say what it is considering the huge fan base of the Cowboys. Almost disrespectful in a way.

There has been no official word either way. If your heart is in doing something, there's no question, your doing it....if you need to think about it your not totally comitted to it. Thats my opinion.

Unless he just wants all this attention......he's considering retirement.

Bledsoe isnt 63 years of age is he? Parcells is looking at a few more years, he is going to have to evaluate where he thinks the team is and if he can move it farther. He and Jones will have to speak on a few things I would think.

Jones wont rush him and Parcells couldnt care less if you need to know. Kind of like the fans needing to know about Romo and Henson. :D

But Parcells hasn't claified one way or another.

When Mort first said this, Parcells could've said something like "What does he know? Why wouldn't I come back." But he hasn't.

I don't know if he is coming back (I expect so) or if he is retiring, but this "game" should be over.

Do you think they relly care about the fans? I know they should, but we aren't important in the scheme of things.

Now if we stopped spending money, then we'd matter a whole lot.

If Jerry has an answer, he didn't seem like a man that was confident in BP returning last night.

And thats my point. Just playing a game.

As for Jerry, he made a comment along the lines of "it will probably only take 10-15 minutes to discuss". Didn't quite know how to take that.
