everyone says "Oh boy the AFC is way better than the NFC!:laugh1:" I have to disagree, our conference is far more competitive.

I thought the same thing until I looked up the #'s yesterday and the AFC is dominating the NFC pretty bad in the AFC vs NFC games. 20-32 I believe is the record for NFC teams vs AFC. The boys are the only NFC team with a winning record against the AFC.

AFC isn't dominating the Cowboys though we are 3-1 i belive :). and Yeah O i agree with you, AFC is good, but not unbeatable like they were a few years ago. our Defense's out weight their Offenses

I hope so. The Cardinals from the NL won it all. I wouldnt mind a Superbowl win.

The only thing that matters to me is that we are 3-1 againt the AFC and have handed the Colts there only loss of the season.

frankly, no, b/c it's true.

but it doesn't bother me that we are in the weaker conference. these things go through cycles.

the nfc was dominant when we were winning bunches in the 90's.

Do you have any statistics or records to back up your claim or is this just your personal hunch?

Uh....I'd leave out the "Oh boy" part...

And perhaps that the AFC is "way" better.

But the AFC IS better.

All ya have to do is look at the team W/L records.

Now, having said that...there aren't any AFC teams that actually put a scare in me...

Chargers have the Schottenheimer factor.

We already beat the Colts.

The Ravens have ZILCH on offense.

I respect the Pats because of their experience and Tom Brady's big game ability. The Pats are the team that I would be concerned about.

I agree that while the AFC is the stronger conference, they aren't as superior as a lot of people make them out to be. The Chargers are a very strong team, and even though we "already beat the colts" that doesn't mean they aren't a team to be feared. The Ravens might have zilch on offense but they've gotten it done so far. The Patriots are always a team no one wants to meet in december/january, but I think their WR's and defensive backfield have been depleted too much for them to go far in the playoffs, although I like the way Maroney is playing. Denver was getting a lot of hype earlier in the year but has fallen apart as of late; Cutler is the real wild card in this case.. He could buckle under the pressure and the season could collapse, or he could have a Romo/Roethlisberger effect and revitalize the team to make some noise down the stretch. I'm leaning towards the latter, I think he will be a very good NFL QB.

Yes, it's Jim Brown when he played at Syracuse.. one of the 5 sports he lettered in there.. he always said lacrosse was not only his favorite but his best sport

Statistically, the Bears and Cowboys matchup against the best of the AFC in offensive/defense rank and point differential. The problem for the NFC is there is a sharp and dramatic dropoff after that. There really is not a strong upper middle class in the NFC (although Seattle looks to be on the upswing).
