Stallworth is far from a thug..

He is also far from good.

Why more retreads? Screw that. Give some of Dallas's young WR's a chance.

I don't remember the details too clearly, but if I recall, the guy was essentially jaywalking. Stallworth wasn't speeding or driving otherwise recklessly. He immediately stopped and tried to assist.

I'm not excusing his actions, and I certainly don't mean to minimize them (although I guess I am). Rather, I'm just arguing against the "thug" label some gave him in this thread.

Would I want him on our team? Depends. He was lightening quick a few years ago - and we need that at WR. Not sure what he has in the tank or what exactly his role would be here. I certainly wouldn't want him to stop the progress of Ogletree.

You should never get behind the wheel when you're drunk, regardless of how much money you make. Still, millions do it every night. We all have. And we all didn't think we were at risk, or that we would be caught, when we did.

Excessive drinking doesn't lead to clear thinking.
ive been drunk many many times and im proud to say ive never even tried to drive drunk its just not worth it and that my mind set. I could only imagine if my career was on the line as well the guy has no sense.

Pacman had skills... no doubt... but he couldn't sniff Deion Sander's poop... and I'm not a Deion fan... or a fan of his poop...
pacman isnt better than deion obviously im just sayin had he had grown up instead of wanting to be a street thug we would have been right there with him. look at his first few years with the titans he was SHUT DOWN, as well has a few punt returns. Doing all that at on 5'10 is simply amazing!!! he was outsized at every feature put still was getting it done and some.

I say keep the WR Corps that we have and make a determined point to get either Anquan Boldin or Brandon Marshall that should be our plan as a key free agent acquisition.... that will fix our scoring problems as that will now set up a multitude of mixmatches across the field for opposing defenses.. we address the O-line through the draft/or trade up to get top notch o-line players....plus guys you must remember that our rookie Brewster will be back mix in a top free safety via the draft... We have a number of draft picks for this season that really have no chance to make the team so be smart and trade off some of the picks to upgrade and move up in the draft to get the key position players that we need... Sign matt stover for a 1 year veteran minimal deal ........... Its a SuperBowl win for the Cowboys Babyyyyyyyyyy:bow:                                   :starspin :starspin :starspin

Brandon Marshall... How could we get him and beat out any other team? And why would he be released?

Pacman was not a shut down corner with the Titans. He made some big plays and interception returns, but he was not a shut down guy. He gambled and it paid off a couple of times. He also benefited a few times from some floaters due to good pressure on the QB. That does not equal shut down. No teams were afraid of going at him and they won a lot of times doing it.

With todays rules, no one can be a "shut down" corner anymore.

Yes, this includes Darrell Revis.

Source: Stallworth is working out with the Lions
Posted by Mike Florio on February 9, 2010 6:13 PM ET

Agent Drew Rosenhaus said Tuesday that receiver Donte' Stallworth, who was reinstated Sunday night and cut by the Browns on Monday, will be working out for an unnamed NFL team on Wednesday.

Per a league source, that team is the Lions.

Stallworth entered the league as a first-round draft pick in 2002. The Lions used a first-round pick on wideouts in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2007.

Stallworth was suspended for the entire 2009 season after pleading guilty to felony DUI manslaughter. He spent 2008 with the Browns, 2007 with the Patriots, and 2006 with the Eagles. In his first four seasons, he played with the Saints.
