Donte Whitner released

He is a better box safety than anyone we currently have. His age is a little bothersome and he isn't the type of free agents this team has been going after, so I question if the Cowboys will even look his way.

However if the deal was right he could be a banger upfront for a couple years and a damn good one.

"Hitner" can't cover.

It is safe to say he would be an upgrade...I'm for improving so bring him in...

The move saves Cleveland $3.95 million, but leaves $4.5 million in dead money. Whitner is coming off a solid year, posting 81 tackles in 14 games and grading as PFF's No. 24 safety.
