Tyler Guyton is the key to the entire season

Call me crazy, but I still have faith in Guyton and think he will improve quite a bit.
Same here. Maybe I'm crazy but I don't remember Guyton being some kind of a horrible turnstile. There were times when he made good blocks too. He was also the victim of some disgustingly bad holding calls where all he did was pancake a guy. I see a very bright future for the kid as long as he continues to improve his strength.

The Cowboys had a good offseason. Strong draft and now Pickens. The biggest X factor for the Cowboys is Guyton. He had a subpar rookie year and his level of play is unacceptable for a starting LT. He needs to make a major leap forward for the Cowboys to truly have a chance this year. Hopefully Klayton Adams + the Cowboys strength and conditioning staff can help Guyton elevate his performance.
He is actually 2nd. The record breaking contract is 1st

If he is not able to handle LT the Cowboys will be strengthened when he moves to RT

Exactly. It would be HUGE if he stepped up & locked down the LT spot but they can cover the position if he doesn't.

People fuss about lesser players "position flex" but Tyler S gives them tremendous latitude. Talented players are a luxury. Besides, he too was drafted to be a T.
Booker is a LG it is so obvious who should be playing where but Jerry loves the idea of the Athlete that is Guyton becoming the LT

Hopefully Schottenheimer is given free reign to play the best players where they play the best

Or Dak is washed, but I’m not ready to go there yet. I’m hoping that Dak was playing with an unreported or undiagnosed injury in the 8 games he played
Is that how you coup with reality? Wow must be nice. You must be extremely hopeful for this season

I hate to break it to you but there were no injuries . . . Dak didn't even limp when he left the field "After tearing meat off the bone"

Guyton and Steele are key to offensive success. not the season. if the defense still sucks at stopping the run, its going to be an average team anyway.

I’m cautiously optimistic for this season since we have surrounded Dak with talent. For Dak this year there will be no excuses if he struggles, barring injury, because this is the best offensive supporting cast he has had since 2016.

My dream scenario would be Milton overtakes Dak as QB1. I would love a similar scenario that happened with Romo and Dak but with Milton and Dak. Then there would be no question we can part ways with Dak. But then again it’s back to “hoping” something works out. As of right now Dak is our QB for the foreseeable future and I hope he does well because that will mean the team does well. Don’t forget I was very much against resigning Dak and I got put in a lot of ignore lists due to my outspoken opinion of Dak. But Jerry signed him and he’s our QB unless something crazy happens. So I hope he plays well because he’s what we have for this year and probably next.

Tyler Guyton has a world of talent at his size arm length he can really be a neutralizer at the key position on the OL . With new coaching from the guy they called the best OL coach in College football I’m excited to see him take the next step in his career .
