I just wanted to let everyone know that the group (5Point Productions) who won the Doritos Superbowl ad contest were a couple of young guys from my church. They did it in only 4 days and with a budget of @ $12! It was filmed in the parking lot of a local shopping center here in Cary, NC.

Just wanted to say congrats to them, well done boys!

I gotta say among many things that stunk for this years superbowl (pre-game show, halftime show, all the other commercials, the game), that commercial was probably the funniest or close to it! Great job!

I said last night and I still think that was the best commercial. Congrats to the kids!

Doritos also showed the "Checkout Girl" commercial which was a part of that contest too.

That's cool. I thought it was the best last night of the few I thought were good.

That was the only commercial that I thought was funny during the entire Super Bowl.

Wow that pretty cool

btw I have actually been to Cary quite a few times. The company I work for has property there and Raleigh.

So what did you think of the area? I know someone on this forum that is thinking of moving here and would like for him to hear a 2nd opinion.

From what I have seen of it, when I have been there it's for business and I don't get a chance to do much else, it seems to be a very nice area.

Where exactly is Cary in comparison to Charlotte, Raleigh, Boone?

Right next to Raleigh (in the same county), south and west of it and south of Durham and RTP.

Thanks. I have family that lives in Durham (personally I could never live there, too far from civilization for me).

I live in Concord which is just North of Charlotte. I have heard that Cary is a great area, I guess if I lived out that way it would make sense for me.

How far from the beach are you ? That would be a selling point for my wife. haha.

We are about 2 hours from Wrightsville Beach near Wilmington. People keep telling me that we are close but to someone who grew up 5 miles from the beach in SoCal and used to ride his skateboard there, it isn't that close. I guess they must be from Iowa or something.

:D

Being from DC/MD and then living in Boston, this is the furthest from a beach I have ever lived for any period of time other than Atlanta for 18 months. I have a condo in Ft. Lauderdale (well, Hollywood, less than a mile from the Hard Rock Seminole casino), but selling it would be an ideal situation as opposed to flying down a few times a year. I think she loves the condo, I might have to keep it forever.

Thanks again though.

I thought pretty much every single SB commercial was weak, not one stood out in my mind or was worth remembering.

The thing that really surprised me about this is the fact that, wow....you go to church? :D
