Dorsett-The Forgotten RB

My ALL TIME fav RB ever!!!! Smooth, quick, fast, strong, and extremely graceful. Love to watch him run or should I say glide. He was AMAZING!!!

Not me. Years ago, when I had my townhouse, I actually chose the unit number 33 because he was my favorite, growing up.

Sign of the times but hurt me to see both Tony D and Emmitt leave the Cowboys at the end of their careers.

Hard to say a HOF RB is a forgotten man.

Unless they have a job in the media there's no reason to hear from them often.

Not forgotten by me. Dorsett was great. In some ways he was better than Emmitt. He certainly had better speed. Emmitt was better in other ways. Dorsett was the better pure runner while Emmitt was a better all-round back.

How is he forgotten? He and Emmitt are always brought up as some of the best Cowboys of all time. I'd probably say Calvin Hill is a forgotten player if we're talking strictly running backs.

First running back with an automatic transmission.

Great analogy and I agree with some of the others, TD is HARDLY forgotten.

33

My all-time favorite player. I have a framed signed Cowboy jersey in my game room. I was a running back in pop warner, high school, college and semi-pro and I have always worn 33. He was definately my idol growing up!

I loved this guy. I think he gets overlooked because of Emmitts greatness. I hope Demarco can turn into our next great one. This vid is sweet.

Sorry, Demarco can't even stay healthy for a full season.

Not in the same league as Tony D or Emmitt.

Tony D will never be forgotten IMO! He is the front car to the train of Cowboys backs!

Forgotten?! I talk about TD33 at least once a week...and he was before my time!

Thanks, .. great video!

I am the same age as Tony, and was a RB all my life.

I remember reading about him when we were seniors in the Pittsburgh paper.

Followed him and admired him during his four years at Pitt, .. as he romped through the Mountaineers each season.

Loved it when he ran for over 300 against Notre Dame.

Ecstatic when he became a Dallas Cowboy.

Tavon Austin reminds me of Tony in that nobody ever gets a 'kill' shot against either one of them. Oh, you may tackle them, but you never get to unload and bring the wood on either one.

Love Tony Dorsett.

99 yard run will never be broken or forgotten.

Tremendous player. The prettiest glide I've ever watched on a football field, and a much tougher runner than given credit for. One of my all time favorite Cowboys.

And now what's weird, I see him frequently. Our daughters play select soccer against each other.

I'm not so sure he's forgotten. I don't know if its out of spite for Emmitt, but typically if someone is asked to put together an All-Time Cowboys roster on other forums, Dorsett will typically be the selection at RB.
