Doscis 3.0 Comcast question

I have a SB3100 Dated modem

Comcast just rolled out the new higher speed 3.0 Doscis in my area. Don't see any upgrade

Is it that I need to upgrade my Modem to 3.0? Technical service last night said no but not sure they were right...

If you don't have an approved 3.0 Modem, they will swap you out for one to get bigger bandwith currently being rolled out.

Well, It's updated - no extra cost free and modem swap out
My download speed is 15 times faster! also upload and zipping around vastly faster.

I recommend this as an alternative, especially if FIOS is not available.

highly recommend asking for this upgrade - 20% of US to be rolled out next year. Probably parts of Southwest not available.
