I know we need LB help immensely, but for the sake of this question lets assume we traded for Brooks from Miami(or insert player here).

If we were able to draft Mansoor Delane with #12 and then Jermod Mccoy at #20, I think that would would be a huge help to this defense for years to come.

if the board were to line up that way...sure.
but i would never force it.

I wouldn't.

Maybe at 12/20 and 92. Forget LB, they have to come out of this draft with an edge player.

It also depends what they trade for Brooks.

Would Defiantly help Jersey sales for sure. so i bet Jerry and Steven are already thinking about it.

I don't think we need 2 CB's. Even currently we have a pretty full CB room. I know after last season our CB's were terrible (Bland and Revel) but I kind of want to put some of that on the coaching. Coaching matters. Bland has had some good years with us. Revel is young but last year I am kind of giving him a mulligan due to the coaching and him missing camp and etc rehabbing and coming back from a bad injury. I could see us getting a CB in the first round but I can also see us passing and going other routes.

I would love to see us get a DE that can help rush the passer. No matter how good your CB is they can't cover all day.

Cb M.Delane reportedly ran 4.35-4.38
Might not make it to 12

Give me one of the top Safeties and a LB in the first and that would be really good. Sign Clowney and our DE room is decent. One more LB somehow and as long as we keep everyone else then I see a D that by the end of the year MIGHT get near top 10 assuming our signings and draft picks contribute.

Doesn't matter they're not going to be able to get their heads turned around anyways

I agree with the principle, but one has to be nickel. We can’t roll with Reddy Steward as our starter if Bland is injured - and even if not, Bland is better on the outside.

So, depending on whether we draft down, etc, I’d try to land either Delane or McCoy and one from the following to play nickel: Terrell, Scott or Ponds.

Look at the injury history of those two guys. We obviously need another outside corner.

We also badly lack a proper nickel. I don’t want to see Bland there. Even if I did, there are huge health question marks.

#12 Caleb Downs or Delane
#20 Avieon Terrell or Mccoy

Let's load up, this is the year and we're in perfect position!

or DeAngelo Ponds even later but may have to go get him

I believe that is why we signed Cobie Durant for this season at least. He would be the slot guy.

I kind of don't get why people think this. He's probably #3 on the depth chart, sure, but he's not a slot player. He's not a good tackler, and isn't good in man coverage. He's an outside corner.

If your CBs are Durant, Revel and Bland, it's Bland who should be in the slot. It's where he's always done his best work.

Where are you getting that, though? He’s played the vast majority of his career on the outside, and I don’t see any analysts suggesting he’ll play there.

We need a specialist nickel, imo. There are some great candidates for it in this draft too.
