as Mcgee is pretty incapable of throwing anything other than a checkdown...
i really hope he just throws it up for Dez a bunch of times.

Now that we know Romo is not going to play, I have reservations about playing Dez whatsoever. We have injured at least one starter in every preseason game we've played thus far (Roy was just announced), and I'd hate to roll the dice without the benefit of having Dez play with Romo.

The whole reason I wanted to see Dez take some snaps is so he could adjust to playing with the first unit, and perfect his timing with Romo. But with McGee in there, I really don't see the point.

This, now that I know Romo isn't playing this game, I don't want any of the starting receivers out there or Dez.

I think it is no big deal to have Dez in for 1 series. Get a catch and sit back down.

Sell that one to Sam Hurd Last season.

IN NO WAY am I comparing Bryant and Hurd. It's just what happened when Hurd was out there in a preseason game. It only takes one play.

With that though, I say play him. He hasn't played in over a year. He hasn't felt the speed of even scrub NFL football. He needs a little taste because in Washington the week after is going to be HUGE WAKE UP CALL for him, and this team.

If Romo's not playing, I say Dez should sit. If Dez plays, I hope he just gets out there and runs some routes and the ball never goes his way.

Behind a 2nd and 3rd string line check downs is pretty much what he has to do. McGee has the arm to get the ball down field but needs to time to do so.

If Dez is healthy enough to play with Romo, then Dez is healthy enough to play with Mr. Magoo.

It'd probably be more beneficial if Romo were playing, but Dez could use some playing time no matter who the QB.

I wonder if TS actually realizes how strong McGee's arm really is. He might suck, but he has talent and he's a strong dude.

Only putting him in for 1 series would be the biggest reason NOT to play him at all. What is one catch seriously going to do for him? Meanwhile the risk for him getting injured and being out the year is there.

Check down catches wont shake the rust of dez. Dont play him and dont give the Commanders any film on him
