Doug Free is getting destroyed on Dallas radio today

What about after three consecutive?

Witten's a future HOFer. Free is a dude who has never been consistently good from season to season. It's a disgrace to even compare Witten and Free.

yeah comparing Witten's situation to Free's is ridiculous. some guys deserve a little leeway.

Wade doesn't replace people in the line-up, he's too nice. He's really holding Garrett back from holding Free accountable and replacing him in the line-up

oh, wait....

Deserved, but he will continue to start.

I guess pulling players in practice for making mistakes doesn't translate to real games. :hammer:

Free and Felix should be benched. Witten also, he's not right. Pride is one thing, being stupid is another.

If they can't do the job, ya gotta let 'em go!

If it makes anyone feel better. Eagles have similar problems. Their offensive line is like 5 turnstiles...just pick a lane you want to run thru. Vick getting absolutely hammered. I think he was hit 25 times yesterday. He took pounding in last weeks game against Baltimore too. Giants have problems on offensive line too. The whole division has weak offensive line.

at least they can open run lanes every once and awhile. demarco is getting met in the backfield every play.

he should be.

on the play Romo gets crunched, he has nobody to block, and doesn't have the intelligence to take one look at the TE to see if he needs any help sealing the edge? :bang2:

It just seems like yesterday when Philly wanted to sign Doug Free...

Free needs to be benched NOW. Parnell cannot be any worse.

The whole so and so can not be worse has been proven wrong so many times in the past that one should not even say it any longer...yet it is common place among the cowboys fans.

So and So COULD be better but that does not mean they can not be worse.

That's true.

BUT I believe playing Parnell would still be a good idea because Free is a major liability. Teams know how to beat him and have being doing it non-stop since the Minnesota playoff game. At least w/ Parnell, you have the unknown and teams may be a little less certain how to destroy him.

the reason I hate when fans do this is we are ignorant. We don't see the backup in action like the coaches do.

Why would anyone think if Free is not doing the job they wouldn't bench him and put someone in his place? If they felt Parnell was clearly better then they'd play him.

What bothers me about it is that as bad as Free has been they have a backup who they're not sure is good enough to replace him. No one expected this from Free and I've questioned whether is might be injured. Still no one is better?

Witten needs to play the rust off. He's never had a problem catching the ball before. He didn't forget how to. He's getting open so he hasn't lost a step. He's blocking more poorly than last year but he's never been great at it. I don't doubt his hand/eye coordination is rusty or that he will get some football strength back in time. I'm not worried about him but I sure would like for him to stop with the false starts which is not rust and to catch the ball well and real soon.

I don't usually watch the trenches while viewing a game. I tend to watch the skill positions. But yesterday, I couldn't help but notice that Free was being pushed into the backfield on every play. It was like he was on skates. He was once a decent player. What happened and can he get back to where he was?

Actually, that thought was voiced here on CZ a lot last year -- basically along the lines of "Free is not playing well -- he must have some sort of undisclosed injury"...

Problem is he is not playing well again this year.

I don't think you can, with a straight face, attribute his play to some sort of injury that hasn't been reported.

In a previous life I didn't think there could be any problem with getting rid of the Czar. Boy was I wrong.

Four sacks, Witten, Livings, Bernadeau, and Free?
