Doug Free

Why?

If Free went down, then you have Marc Colombo to come in.

Colombo hasn't played in over a month, if this was the Regular Season, I would bring him in but with an "all or nothing" situation, I don't think you should mess with the rotation.

There is no doubt in my mind that if Doug Free had been struggling, Colombo would be announced the starter by now.

But he has played well and there is no reason to make a change.

And like Mickey Spagnola said, alot of times when guys come back, they are not 100% but they come back quicker because their replacement is struggling.

We want Free to be ready for next year. He could beat out Flozell. Like I said, only if Colombo is 100%.

How is Doug Free playing throughout the Playoffs going to prevent him from taking Flozell Adams' spot next season?

I kind wish everyone would forget about the 2010 Season for now, the Cowboys are in a very good position to go to the Super Bowl.

This team isn't getting any younger, you have to worry about the task at hand and try to win right now with your hot hand.

It's kind of like relegating Miles Austin to spot duty after his performance in Kansas City because Roy Williams was healthy the next week.

You go with the hot hand and worry about the current task at hand, not the task in the next Season.

He could get hurt. If there's no drop off I would like to see Colombo in.

As Jerry's eventual succesor I'm always thinking ahead. I've even thought of 2011.

What??? Am I losing my mind or is this nuts.

Romo could get hurt too...let's play Kitna instead.

you never want to send a message that an injury costs you a starting position. Its debateable that free has clearly played better then Colombo which would be the only reason not to start colombo if he is 90% or better. BUT that is the question that will probably be answered during practice this week.

Why? The best person should play. I put the team above the individual.

Only if the replacement clearly plays better which has not happened in this case.

Its really very simple: if you let this happen then players start hiding injuries.

Hopefully he takes over for flozell next year so we can get rid of him.... too many penalties

Flo has played great this year and hasnt had many penalites the second half of the season.

It is kind of funny he made the Pro Bowl last year, when I didnt think he played well at all. Now he has one of his best seasons and gets snubbed. Probably cause of the hype surrounding his tripping penalties.

The Oline is playing well right now, I dont think I would upset that by putting Colombo back in there.
