Don't even think about it. His position is guard not tackle. He proved that in Arizona.
You can bet your house if we lose Flo that's exactly what will happen. I'll take Bigg at LT over McQ all day. We now know Free will be at RT so what do we have beside Bigg at LT?

JMO but we need to sign someone regardless of how we feel about Free.

I agree and for me it's not so much about Free as it is Flozell
looks horrible.I think Runyon should be in Dallas tomorrow, hopefully
they have this in their sights.

for those concerned with big money contracts, BIGG is being paid LT money, shouldn't he be playing LT?

If Flo can't go, Free will play LOT with Bigg sliding over to ROT and Holland playing RG. But Runyan would be nice insurance right about now.

watched the game again, free played very well in pass protection. and run blocking on the move.

he struggled with power though. on the first play of the 2nd half, he's asked to block DT jolly. jolly tosses him aside and gets MB3 in the backfield.

of course everyone was having problems moving jolly and jenkins. those guys are a load. if you watch last year's game and even in 07, those guys were really stout in the middle.

also he got overpowered on that screen pass when he first took over for colombo. it turned out ok, but made it a tougher pass for romo.

for the most part though, i forgot about him. usually they gave him a TE running a pattern to protect the outside.

No way you can make that radical a change mid season, outside of dire necessity. Different technique and footwork, plus I'm not sure how good Flo would be at pulling . . .

Personally I'm more concerned about Flo. Maybe we should slide Bigg over to LT and insert Holland at rg. I know that's to many positions to move around but Flo is getting worse by the game..

Flo will be Flo. Again...we've seen this from Flo his entire career. At home, when crowd noise is not a factor, he performs at an elite level 95% of the time. On the road, when crowd noise can be a problem, he's less reliable. He may give you a good solid performance as he did in Philly last week or he may struggle as he did in GB a week later. You just kind of have to hope he has a good day when the Boys play on the road. I've always felt his inability to hear the snap count completely throws his whole game off, particularly the mental aspect.

Oh I'm well aware of his refusal to wear a hearing aide but his play is starting to taper off. I think his shoulder is still bothering him and he's taking plays off, or he's just not that good anymore. Whatever the case if we don't draft his replacement now we better get a FA in here with something left in the tank or we are gonna miss our window...:(

I'd be interested to see how he does on screens or if he pulls because he is supposedly such a good athlete. I hope Garrett gets him in space.
