Dove season opened today.

Took off early this morning for the start of dove season. Had a very successful outing, and finally got to use the Beretta Xtrema II, I bought last week.

Did anyone else go out today?

I have ALWAYS wanted to go duck hunting. Just never found anyone to go with.

I have not been in years but at one time me and my cousins would go out before day break and go duck hunting, even if it was rabbit season. :laugh2:

We had a lot fun times.

I like fishing more so I can move around and stay busy.

I just don't hunt period. I do fish though. Catch and release.

Never caught a trout. I order it once at Mitchells Fish Market (sort of a high end sea food place in the area) I didn't like the way it tasted.

Back home in Texas, Bass was my fish of choice. Here I catch baby blue snapper (they have teeth) out of Long Island Sound.

Best fishing trip off the coast of cancun. Nailed a 70 lbs. White Marlin. Took a good 45 min to get him on the boat.

I used to love to duck hunt, but the duck population depleted so badly over the years in NE Texas, that you would get mostly a fewTeal, a Woody or two, a Gadwall or two and rarely any Greenheads...

I haven't limited out in over 5 years...

Since I live in the Hill Country now, maybe I can get down to the coast and give it a go...
