Dpoy

If Parsons can take another game over, then yeah, he'll make the case. Might have it already.

Diggs isn't even in the neighborhood of being in the discussion. He's good at getting INT's, but there's more to the position than that.

Parsons is vastly better at what he does than Diggs is.

As an aside, I don't think Parsons has real chance, either. Even if he's the best defensive player in the league, he isn't going to be given both DPOY and DROY. Some tenured player will win DPOY.

I mean...it's Washington. They have a sub par o-line and a sub par QB. I don't think it *should* move the needle if he has another 2 sack, 1 FF game, but given it's national TV it probably will

Parsons is probably going to win DROY but unless his stats are off the charts compared to other players like Watts and Garrett, voters are going to knock him because there's already an award for rookie of the year...I think Parsons finishes third in DPOY.....Diggs is having a great year with the interceptions but he's nowhere close to being a shut down corner...

The last few games Diggs has been playing like a shutdown corner. Earlier in the year he was giving up some big catches but the defense as a whole has tightened up considerably. Still think you're right.

I’m saying if diggs has like a 2 int game or parsons had a huge game. I get it’s Washington…. But we’re winning games as opposed to the other candidates teams. That has to factor in for something.

Tonight a big game by Parsons or Diggs on national television. I wonder if that would make either the clear frontrunner?

Myles Garret hasn’t done much the past two games. His team may miss the playoffs. Watt has 17.5 sacks but his team isn’t good.
Only a score from either would make them a serious contender. Unless Parsons has a 5 or 6 sack game.

Watt only recorded one tackle (0 sacks or splash plays) so that works in favor for Parsons.

Don’t think Diggs has much of a chance. He had a couple of bad games this season where he got toasted. He’s made a lot of plays but has given up some. Parsons has a real shot but he needs another big game.

Wish I seen this before I created a post. Was talking about how both of them didn't do anything today just 1 tackle each and Parsons got a huge chance tonight and next week both Nationally Televised games.

I love that we have two players good enough to be in the discussion. It will split the votes, but I don't really care about awards. They are nice and shiny, but the NFL is now becoming aware how good we are on defense. Get the offense clicking and then look forward to meeting KC in the Super Bowl.
