Draft Amusing Question I ask every year

Amusing Question I ask this every year but just have to again ? If you had two options tomorrow night to stay home, drink beer, eat Wings and watch the 2018 NFL Draft or go to the Movies and out to Dinner with your Wife or Girlfriend which option would you take ?

I don't go to the movies, so....

I might watch the first round of the draft, but not likely more than that. I haven't followed it all that much in the last few yaers and pretty much not at all this year. I know two people in the draft, Mayfield and some other QB who I believe is a running QB. Shaquon or something like that.

Football (NFL anyhow) is now pretty much dead to me. It went the same way the NBA did and I was a HUGE NBA fan for a long time. The Texas Rangers suck butt, so I'm left with the NHL and the Dallas Stars.

I am already having a hard time watching the Rockets in the playoffs. She will watch any sport with me except BBall for some reason

Honest answer: both! And this year I'm doing it. My wife got us tickets to the Avengers tomorrow night at 10:00 pm before I could stop her. So I'll be watching the draft before we go, and DVRing it. Then coming home and watching where I left off. Then I'm taking a vacation day Friday so I can sleep and get ready for rounds 2 and 3!

LOL I'm taking off 1/2 Day Thursday Mow Yard and than will be watching the Draft and Friday I'm off work getting ready for Rounds 2 and 3

Easy for me... I stay home and watch the draft. My wife has some bizarre and imo irrational fear of movie theaters. She is afraid someone will stab her in the back. I said we could sit in last row so our backs are to the wall and nobody can get behind us.. Nope it does not console her.

Second time I took her out we went to eat. After that we went to the mall to walk around and shop a tad.

I said let's watch a movie. The mall had cinemas in it. She said we did not have to. I thought she was just being modest since I bought dinner and bought a few small thing when we were shopping. So I insisted.

After the movie I said maybe we could catch another movie next weekend. She told me she did not want to go to another theater again and told me about her fear. Next weekend we just rented some movies and watched them at my place at that time.

We have never been to a movie theater since. That one movie we watched on that date was when the FIRST Jurassic Park first came out. Been a long time ago.

I’d hang out with la wifa and do whatever she wanted to do but I’d DVR the draft. Then when I would get home I would fast forward to pick #19 to see who our newest Cowboy is

Gary, here's my honest answer.

My wife went to the store today and bought a case of beer, wings and Texas Pete hot sauce which will be
prepared tomorrow, and an NFL Draft magazine for me.

Also, my 25 year old son called tonight to confirm that he had taken time off from work to make the
3 hour trip home to hang out with dear old dad (that's me) and watch the draft.

I will happily show my appreciation to my beautiful wife next week. It's a win-win!
