Draft and Marriage

[Verdict]

My youngest daughter scheduled her wedding well over a year ago for May 1, 2021. I just realized it was on NFL draft weekend, which greatly distresses me, as I view the NFL draft right up there with Christmas and Thanksgiving...I don’t miss it.

So I called my daughter and said “I’ll have you know that you scheduled your wedding on NFL Draft Weekend” to which she replied “I am sorry you won’t be able to attend the wedding”. It made me so proud, it brought a tear to my eye. Lol

Of course I’ll be at the wedding and will record the entire draft. But I will miss watching it live.

Good for you. I have a somewhat similar story. I told my wife at the time.. no Ex.. lol, that if she died on daft time, she would have to be put on ICE for three days... It got a good laugh.. Now people don't have to wonder why she is my Ex... lol.. All is good though..
