Draft Choice Coin Flip winners announced

2/26/2010 8:08:26 AM

There were three coin flips today at the NFL combine instead of the two we reported earlier:

The Jaguars won the coin flip for the 10th pick. The Broncos (who were traded the pick by the Bears) will pick 11th.

The Titans won the coin flip for the 16th pick. The 49ers will pick 17th.

The Falcons won the coin flip for the 19th pick. The Texans will pick 20th.

How does it come to a coin flip?

Why don't they just find another way to rank them out? I don't care if you have to go to the 15th tie-breaker, I'd be pissed to lose even 1 spot on a coin.

There are several tie breakers.

1. Worst record. If tied...

2. Strength of schedule. The lower the strength of schedule team picks sooner because they achieved the same record against weaker competition. If tied...

3. Division and Conference results. If tied...

4. Coin flip.

So each of these 6 teams was tied with their coin flip partner in record, strength of schedule, division and conference record.

Heads.
