Draft Countdown Mock Updated:

38 Dallas Cowboys: Rahim Moore, FS, UCLA

Pick change; previously Deunta Williams, FS

69 Dallas Cowboys: Marcus Cannon, G, TCU

82 John Moffitt, G/C, Wisconsin
87 Benjamin Ijalana, OT/G, Villanova
91 Danny Watkins, OT, Baylor

With Peterson in the first, and that being the rest of our draft, I would faint.

Not advocating Peterson as the pick quite yet, but picking him does not mean Newman or Jenkins are being replaced (at least not immediately).

Peterson ousting Ball or Sensabaugh at either safety spot is not inconceivable.

His size might seem appealing for the safety position but he's a corner. At his best in press and being physical with receivers not necessarily in zone with plays coming at him.

I wouldn't - I want to flight player at CB/S - who will be able to come right in an start - Petersen - Prince - Harris

I would trade down but not out of the first

Not out of the first, but I would drop from 7th, where we're slotted to 15th or so for a 2nd rounder.

This draft is top heavy though, so trading down may not be a good idea.

I agree it's top heavy. 2 elite QB prospects (Luck and Mallet), 1 maybe WR prospect (AJ Green, Blackmon and Jones are good but not elite), 3 elite prospects on the d-line (Bowers, Fairley, Dareus) and 1 elite DB prospect (Peterson). However what we need more than anything is o-line. Someone will want to nab one of these guys and atleast 1 should be on the board when we pick, so picking up a 2nd rounder is worth it.
