Bailey is the best defender in the draft. The cleanest too. Reminds me of Ware. Not sold on Reese. Not giving up our entire draft to move up for 1 player. Especially if we give away all that draft capital and draft a safety or linebacker.

First, after listening to two dozen shows of mock drafters and scouts, I have to conclude the "value" is not there in later rounds, that it's a thin draft and that the only way to ensure a difference maker---vs. just a very good player---is to move up. I know Bayless and others want to stay put at 12, which wouldn't be horrible, but I am personally leaning to a 10th and maybe a 3rd next year for the 3 or 4 pick. Personally, I think anyone other than Bailey, Reese, Stiles, or Downs will not be that immediate impact player. Good, but not a difference maker. But Jerry must be careful not to overpay.

I will put this little story here, Coog wont mind. I just was in neighborhood convenience store getting my "supplies" for tonight. Buddy of mine who is a jets fan walked in. And some think Cowboys fans are negative. lol here was our discussion:

You are fighting an uphill battle on that one. I tried years ago to get clarification if spoilers were fair game, but there are people who very rarely come on this board who don't know what the deal is so.. hard to wrangle up the cat herd.

As for his Motorola walkie talkie, I'm thinkin no need tonight unless Jerry says they are gettin low on the Onion Dip and Stephen sends a transmission asking for more ASAP.

I'm not stressed out like I usually am on draft day. The Cowboys front office has done their work. They have put together their draft board and have a draft philosophy/plan. Exercising discipline to stick with the plan is critical. I think they do that, turning two first round picks into one. Filling our need on defense at LB is the mission on day one. Styles is the target.

I don't mind people posting it early. If people don't want it spoiled, just watch your own broadcast instead and come here to post when it's announced there. I don't get why people need to be restrained when the information is readily available because others don't want to or can't do the same. Do we wait to announce Cowboys news until ESPN broadcasts it? Release the picks!
