Draft Day Question??

Now that Wade is the big Kahuna for us on draft day ( I know J.G. will have some say) but in the past, hows Wades record on draftpicks.


Oh, wait , J.J. will be there so maybe the point is moot.

I would imagine that it doesn't change much other than the fact that the main voice in Jerry's ear isn't going to be Ireland.

Remember the person buying the groceries isn't the HC its the GM.

The defensive players that San Diego drafted (behind us) while he was there were all either as good or better than the defensive players we drafted. That could just be luck, of course.

I presume Jerry will continue to follow the work of the scouting staff which means Tom Ciskowski and Mike Murphy will have a lot of input again.

I do hope that Jerry names somebody to replace Ireland. It could be the 2 who next in line or somebody Jones' frees up from some other team but I don't want him to leave that position vacant or add it to his own duties. If either of the current 2 men don't see an opportunity to get ahead/make more money, Jerry could find himself losing more people out of his scouting department at a time when they are needed even more.
