because the dak threads are getting old here you sit its Draft Day. You have put the transition tag on Dak already and Cooper franchised. Byron has signed elsewhere. Delphit and Mckinney are available at 17 as is 1 of the 2 Alabama receivers in all likelihood Ruggs.

What would you do? Im glad i dont have to make that decision but I go Ruggs and let cooper walk but that would be tough not picking up one of the 2 safeties because defense really needs help.

Of course what you do in FA could very well dictate your decision

I’m not sure Dak can function without a bigtime WR so we are risking it if we get rid of Cooper.

We have to build a amazing defense though if we’re going to stay on the Dak path because we can’t rely on him to put points on the board in big games and Zeke is already showing signs of slowing down.

I think in the first round you still need to take the best player but maybe we can trade back and still get Delpit and then use the extra pick on someone like Reagor or a TE.

And Tua, Burrow, and Herbert are off the board? Im taking Ruggs. Delpit im not sold on. Is Jordan Love an option here? I think so.

Draft Zone material. Please post in the proper forum, folks.

One reason I'm not in favor of letting Cooper walk (at least without an adequate FA replacement) is because we then have to turn around and spend draft resources on the offense. I think we need to sink all of our early picks into defense, beginning with the defensive line.

If monster DT Javon Kinlaw is gone by the time the Cowboys are up to pick in the 1st round, I say the Cowboys should draft S Xavier McKinney and not look back.

There are many good WRs that can be had in this draft. For example, in the 2nd round this WR might very likely be there when the Cowboys pick (ie...WR Jalen Reagor: 5'11", 195 lbs, 4.29 40 yd dash)...

...and once again in the 4th or 5th rounds to pick up and fill in for Amari Cooper's release (ie...WR Antonio Gandy-Golden, 6'4", 220, 4.52 40 yd dash)...

An underrated big but quick/strong DT that might be available in the 3rd round would be DT DaVon Hamilton, 6'4", 310 lbs, 5.10 40 yd dash...

most draft i seen have Kinlaw gone by 15 ( think that was the latest one i seen) but ya if hes there that would definitely be my pick .I think hell go top 10 depending on the QB run

The combine is going to help us refine our thoughts. I want to see the WR 40 times and cone drills. I like Gandy-Golden but I want to see him run sub-4.5. I want to see Ruggs run a sub 4.3. There are some very good WRs in this draft and where they go in the draft, as well as players at other positions, will become more clear once they have completed their combine drills.

Tag Dak and trade him. Sign the best free agent QB, Michael Irvin mentioned that Tom Brady is in discussions. Draft a QB maybe Jalen Hurts as Daniel Jeremiah suggested the other day. Sign the best free agent safety maybe Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix (former McCarthy player) and take Ruggs. I take Ruggs for a lot of reasons a) I absolutely don't want him to go to the Eagles b) In the Super Bowl it looked like with the cushion they gave to Hill they could've thrown slants to him all the way down the field c) the combination of Moore and McCarthy should be able to come up with some good play designs that take advantage of one of the fastest players in the NFL.

I agree with you an Ruggs. If he runs a sub-4.3 at the combine, then take him. I never heard a team complain they had too much speed on either side of the ball. The Eagles are going to be looking for WRs because they don't have any who can stay healthy. On the other hand, I don't want to see the Eagles take Kinlaw either, although I doubt he lasts that long. But then the Eagles have never been afraid of trading up ahead of Dallas to take a player they want. If Ruggs runs a 4.27 or something like that, the Eagles will trade up to take him and so might some other teams.

I hate using our top pick two years in a row for the same position but If kinlaw is there and his medicals are good I hope we take him.
