Every year there are always some great draft values later in the draft--say 4th round or later.

Nominate one or more of your favorites. I can think of at least one Cowboy pick I may throw in there.

But my nominee is:
Rashard Jennings, RB, Liberty, 6-1 230 lbs, 4.50

He was selected in the 7th round by Jacksonville and could be a beast. Also, he comes with a great story. He was at Pitt and ahead of Lesean McCoy when his father had to have his leg amputated. To be closer to his family, he gave up his D-1 scholarship and moved back home and attended Liberty. He had 1507 yards and 17 TDs last year, but at a lower level, that's hard to measure. Sounds like he looks great in camp so far....we'll see when it really gets going.

Who's your nominee?

If Mike Mickens can recover his college skills after the knee injury he could be the steal of the draft. Up until his injury he was considered a late day one early day two guy.

Do you mean any season??

If so my pick would be 7th round pick Jay Ratliff!

This season. Thanks for asking.

Coye Francies who was drafted by the Browns in the 7th round. Tons of potential, just played at a small school and had some legal trouble but huge upside for a 7th round pick.

Johnny Knox could shine for the Bears. He was not taken until the 140th pick (5th round) and it sounds like he's really wowing them in Chitown.

OK another dumb question. If we are talking about the current upcoming season, how can they be considered a draft day steal if they haven't played a pro-season as of yet? I would venture to guess you mean the perceived talent to actual draft slot where they were picked.

I'll quit rambling and just say Stephen McGee...

I think he meant who will prove to be a steal in a couple of years from now.

Yeah...it's a simple prediction thread. Very common in the preseason. :D
