Draft fans, pick your guy (yes, it's only October)

Okay, all of you draft fans have had 7 whole weeks to scout next year's draft class. Pick the one draft eligible guy you want the Cowboys to take in the 1st round.

Will be fun to look back at this in April (pre-draft and post-draft) to see how off we were.

I'm going Taven Bryan, DL, Florida (6-5,293)

Taven Bryan has really stood out to me and having that disruptive presence on the line could only help.
Just watching him play a couple of times I would say he fits that War Daddy nickname.

I like the WR from Oklahoma State and Texas Texas as they both seem to be game breakers. I like Sills WR from WVU but he is still learning and I am not sure about his speed.

Possible Chubb at DE or the DE from Clemson.

I am not sure of the top rated LBs that might fit our team.

I don't think they would take another OL in the first unless they had a lower round pick in the first and OL player as the best player by far on the board.

I also like the S out of FSU, James. Him at SS with Woods at FS. Jones goes to CB and suddenly you have a pretty loaded secondary IMO.

I had Bradley Chubb as my pet cat last year, and nothing has changed.

The two other players I would be happy with are Quenton Nelson and Derwin James.

Games are won in the trenches and as much as we need pass rush help if Lawrence walks, I have to agree with your choice.

Harold Landry - I envision him as a SLB/DE hybrid like Bruce Irvin..........but better. If you notice how the DL has been configured lately, it looks like how all the Pete Carroll DC Tree configure their D - a 4-3 that almost looks like a 3-4.

RDE - Crawford/Taco (2 guys that have played the 5T in their career - both around that 280+ mark)
1T/3T - Collins (a Brandon Mebane clone)
1T/3T - Irving (again, similar to Crawford/Taco, but WAY BETTER - and, also around that 280+ mark)
LDE - DLaw/Mayowa (Just like Oakland playing KMack at LDE)

Now, put Landry/Wilson at SLB and let them go after the QB - like John Fox did with VMiller early in his career.

Scouting Report:

A potential matchup nightmare for offensive coordinators at the next level, Wilkins is able to be effective all over the defensive line. A tackle for loss machine, he will need to continue to work on his pass rush technique, and could end up as a top 10 pick in next year’s draft. Suitable for any defensive scheme
